Is seeing your BP drinking actually rare?

Hello, I have had some people tell me that seeing a BP drink is quite rare. However, I see mine drink all the time. She's drank water out of her bowl while I had the bowl in my hands and her hanging around my neck. She has even drank out of my BARE hands before! So I actually find this "rare to see your BP drinking" claim to be a bit off. I do, of course, know that not all BP's act the same. Who knows, maybe mine is just a heavy drinker lol.

I see my spider and mojave drinking all the time, I've only seen my normal girl and male pastel drink on occasion, I don't think I've ever seen by female pastel drink.

The point I'm trying to make is that it really just depends on the snake.

My girl takes a nice long drink after every meal to wash it down. At this point, it would be rare for me to not see her drink. My boy however, I've only caught him drinking once.

Basically what they said. Some drink often, some don't. My big girl likes a drink with her meal, but I haven't caught the smaller ones drinking more than a few times.

+1 for depending on the snake.

lol they said hands so I don't think they had another hand to hold the phone. :P

I've seen Allure drink once and that was when I went to put him away when I had him in a tank. As I was lowering down he drank while hanging from my arm.

I could make it work ;)

I've caught one snake drinking water once since I got Aradia the April before last. In about June of last year. Gone from 1 to 12 and have yet to see it again. I was so stinkin' excited when I did see it, though.

I see mine drinking all the time. When I do the weekly water change, if you pull the drawer open a few minutes later you can just about always see one drinking. Mine seem to like fresh water.

I've had my Rufous Beaked Snakes do this before.

My spider has a drinking problem. I'm fairly certain he gets drunk every day after work. He can't see straight and wobbles everywhere. Lol

I had a feeling it was just going to depend on the snake whether or not you see them drink. Mine seems to like fresh water as well. Also, I would definitally like to get pics of her drinking from my hands. I was pretty excited when she did. She has only done it once and hasn't done it since, but I also haven't tried it many times. The only problem is somehow getting a pic while using both hands to cup the water lol

I see mine drink regularly, usually right after eating or when I've changed their water.

I've owned Ollie for two months. I've only seen him drink twice. But its so cute

I'm currently taking my male to meetings about his drinking. He just gets to mean when he drinks that dark liquor. 😱😂

I think it is rare if you keep fresh full water bowls :cool: I can't remember the last time I saw one drink water. It's been many months.

I've had Ella almost two months and only seen her drink once. My pastel I've never seen drink but he's still in quarantine in the guest room so I'm not in there all the time. The first BP we had years ago we used to see drink all the time. I think it just depends on the snake and it's habits.
