Could She Be A Morph?
-
She looks like a normal.
But in your last picture, it looks like she may have some train tracks on the bottom half of her? So maybe she could be carrying the pied gene? Do you know what the parents were?
She's pretty cool looking though. Very busy patten and stripe on the front half of her, then very clean patterned in the back. :gj:

Nope. No idea on her parents. I thought the same thing about the pied markers. I have a male normal (bought from the same Guy...he was supposed to be female) who has a clear belly with het pied markers. I'll be breeding them together when she gets big enough.
-
I don't know if I see anything but a nice clean normal. Then again I'm awful about spotting the het pied markers, so don't count on my word.

I think your best bet to prove her out would be to breed her to a visual pied. It's kind of silly to breed a possible het to a possible het. Unless get any visuals, you still won't know anything more than what you started with

Could She Be A Morph?
Just curious, did you ever contact the breeder and let them know what was sold to you? If you paid for a male and got a female, you didn't get ripped off, you got a deal, as long as she proves out. I'm wondering if maybe it was an honest mistake and they might try to make it right if you let them know?
Then again I could be completely wrong. Just curious though...

I did contact him (I don't think he was a breeder) and he told me that just mis-herd him. I was supposed to have bought a proven female spider who had laid a clutch of 6 eggs and a proven male pastel...the spider is male as well as the pastel. He tried to tell me when I contacted him that the pastel was a proven female @500g because "you do know that they lose weight when they have a clutch". And a male VPI Axanthic (the pictured female above) and a female normal hatchling (really a male). I was supposed to have two 1.1 breeding pairs and ended up with 3.1. That is why I doubt that this girl is Axanthic as well.
And for the person saying that I should use a visual pied, I would if I had one... and I do want a pied pair but my budget doesn't allow for one yet...and the little normal male looks really nice (some flames, blushing, Micky mouse head stamp) & I just need a reason to justify keeping the Lil Guy. And he doesn't prove out, it'll still be fun. Plus I'm hoping beyond hope that I didn't get too ripped off as well.

Also, I think I should try a 1.0 VPI Axanthic het pied...I know where to get one, but he is sadly out of my budget as well. That would prove if she is really an Axanthic or het pied.
Darn budgets...lol

I understand you may not be able to afford a visual pied, but my main point is that breeding a possible het to a possible het (unless it's a brand spanking new morph) is just senseless. Say one is het and the other isn't. You'll get a clutch full of normals and will have no clue which of the parents are het and you will have no idea if either of them are hets in the first place. You might as well be breeding a couple normals together.

Do you think he said het vpi axanthic? Sex could easily be mistaken, or lied about I suppose. Of course, people can lie about hets too, but I've spoke with a lot of people that didn't hear the "het" part when the snake was sold.

Yes, he said that it was a really browned out vpi Axanthic. He said that it was visual but a really bad example. Can axanthics look like her?

It's definitely not an Axanthic!
