Wow! That's a lot of nice pics!
All the crocodilians in your pics are American alligators (Alligator mississipiensis).
-
Thanks for sharing all the pics, great shots. I ecspecially like your tomato frog pic, and what I beleive is an Ackie Monitor very cute.
Can I ask if you know why in the 48th picture there is a large boid in with a crayfish of come sort?, Just wondering
Thanks
Rusty

The snake looks like a member of the Acrochordidae Family (wart, file and elephant's trunk snake) perhaps Acrochordus javanicus.
-
You got some nice pics! I particularly enjoyed the fact that i could actually identify a lot of the animals. :) That must have been a fun trip for you and your cousins.

That didn't even occur to me because it doesn't even look like it's in water!
-
Hey, I use to have some rough-scaled sand boas! They are one of the most underrated snakes in my opioion.
-
I agree - they're awesome and can be great beginner snakes as well.
-
Good point about being good beginner snakes. I had Kenyan sand boas as well but didn't like them as well as the RSSBs.
-
Great pics John! Looks like you had a good time.
-
I love all my sand boas. My KSB was the easiest to get on frozen/thawed (just got the RSSB on f/t and my Saharan still insists on live but I'm working on him). My KSB has the cutest face and is so docile. I love the pattern/colors on my RSSB and think the prehensile like tail on the Saharan is pretty cool. I feel pretty privileged to have a Saharan since they are still kind of rare in captivity.
-
To clarify: well, actually, not clarify:
I have no idea what that is under water with the crayfish (i know that one. lol)
but it was underwater, it was moving, it looked healthy, and i thought it looked cool, so i took a picture, even though it doesnt look like theres water in the picture, there is, its all water
i had a blast, and my cousin is going to be having his birthday party there....guess whos invited:):) haha, i get to go again!!!!

I would assume that the housing requirements for the Saharan are the same as for the KSB?

the place is called Regal Reptiles
its in Providence, Rhode Island
its a really big...um, i don know what to call it, not a pet store, not a reptiles expo. more like a big display place, where you can buy animals too.

That was literally the holy grail of dialup warnings....
And all I can say is this.... you found herp heaven.
