Do you think this is a reduced pattern Clown?
Finally scored the Clown male I have been looking for! Picking him up from Sean at Exotics by Nature.

I already have a few ideas for him...

I will post up some more pics when Sean hooks me up after he sheds.

He is just a very nice Clown, BUT Sean also has a genetic RP thing going on with this line, as you can see with the hets.

You should see just the regular Pastel Clowns from this line...

Yeah I plan to make my own hets to go for the super of the reduced pattern thing. He will be put to a Fire for sure, and likely a Enchi as well. Also possibly to my HGW Pin...

that makes a lot of sense, what if it turns out to be a different line of clowns?

anyway making your own hets gives you the best chance of getting more of these. it requires a bit of inbreeding, which i generally dont like unless there is a good reason to do it, but here we have a good reason i think.

Yeah, a generation or so of inbreeding will not be an issue.

Do you think this is a reduced pattern Clown?
so is it possible this is a multi gene animal? with the reduced pattern being its own morph? the reduced pattern hets look kinda like the diesel balls they have up in canada. if it is another gene at play, the clown could throw busy clowns too. regardless, that thing is sick. the spotnose clown that ben rennick produced looked crazy busy and it was awesome. it makes me wonder what spotnose would look with a reduced clown like this. you just got a spotnose didnt you? ;)

    oh, right.....

its a clutch picture, so everyone assumed there are no other genes at play.... but what are the genetics of the parents?

(just speculating.... but to me it looks closer to a clown x super enchi het clown breeding than it does to a clown x het clown breeding somehow. Even if not, and if its just the product of using totally reduced normals for this clown project, there still may be genes at play).

And if i may ask, how much did you pay for it? i imagine the price was very high.

Not exactly sure what the pairing was. From my understanding, there is something else going on with reduced pattern and it has a Super form. He is not a Super, just a especially nice RP. The Supers seem to have reduced head markings as well.

As for price, he was being advertised for $2K.
