First mystery clutch (1 of 2) is pipping!
My first clutch ever had it's first pip today so I cut a slit in the rest. So far it looks like maybe 2 normals and the rest butters but I'm still new at this so I won't know for sure. The mother is a normal but the father is unknown. I know that butter is one of the possible sires but she was bred before I had her so this is very exciting to me. The second clutch from another female that I got at the same time is due next week and is also a mystery clutch. :)
I'll post more pictures as they come out :D

That would mean it's not a total mystery.

Well, yes and no.... I know that there was a possibility with one of these girls that the butter had locked with them. Wasn't sure on which girl, whether or not he was actually successful and since she had been paired with other males as well, even the breeder wasn't sure who the father actually was lol. Then the cards that I did get with them were all mixed up and some of the males were dead by the time I arrived to get these guys so the cards that I do have are either the wrong card (from one of the dead snakes) or inaccurate.

Why were they dead?

You can read the entire thread about them here: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...take-this-deal
Short version is they died from the cold. I should say though that all of the snakes from that group are now doing well and I've gotten them all back on feed (including the girls that laid these 2 clutches for me) with the exception of 1 normal but she's still in pretty good body condition. Just recently she's in the hands of someone who can offer her live ASF and hopefully she will take them. The bigger of the 2 pastel males is still being a bit of a pain but he recently just took a meal for me so hopefully the hard part is over. The rest are all growing (some alarmingly) fast and are recovering nicely.
Again, HUGE thanks to Angllady2 for giving me great advice and helping me through this group and my 2 newest rescues. I would have pulled my hair out by now if it wasn't for her :rage:.
On a more cheerful note, one more baby has decided to make a full appearance. I believe this is a butter?
