First Ball Python Clutch of the Season! Got a Paradox Blue Eyed Leucistic!

Well, my first ball python clutch of the 2013 season is finally done hatching, and I must say I am pleased with them! The pairing was lesser mojave BEL X lesser, and I ended up with one mojave, one lesser, three solid white BELs and a funky paradox BEL!

It's weird, it looks like the lesser came through and showed. I can't wait to see that snake at 1000 grams.

Thanks for the nice comments! I will post more photos of the paradox after he sheds. I will be keeping him and plan to breed him in the future to find out whether he is genetically a super lesser or a lesser mojave. As far as I know, breeding trials will be the only way to tell with him and his solid white siblings as well.

Awesome looking little guy and great results overall with the clutch!
It will definitely be interesting to see how he looks as he grows.

I demand hell of a lot more pics! :D Are the paradox's eyes both blue? (without paradox tinting) If so, you should do facial close-ups.

Those are all gorgeous snakes. Now, I'm new to the snake world and I don't know much about telling the differences between them or different breeds. That one in the middle top, what is he? He's gorgeous!

As demanded ;) here are some additional photos of my paradox BEL. Both of his eye are blue, but I think the one on the more colorful side of his face is a little darker blue. He still hasn't had his first shed, so things may look somewhat different once that happens.

I remember reading somewhere (here?) that the mohave lessers are often brighter than the super lessers and super mohave BEL's.

Well, my little paradox BEL just had his first shed. He looks a little darker but mostly the same. I have named him ODDBALL! I haven't tried feeding him but plan to soon. Wish me luck!

No, I ended up selling him. He turned out to be kind of bug-eyed and sold to a guy who collects bizarre animals and was cool with that.

I must admit I have a little soft spot for paradoxing :P
