    Why do I craiglist
I check the pets section a lot and I saw these two:
    http://corvallis.craigslist.org/pet/3957588404.html

THAT ALBINO IS SO PRETTY. I want bloods eventually, but I don't think I'm experienced enough to take one on at the moment, and for my first I'd want an adult because baby temperament may not match adults. So I'm talking myself out of it, but guys she's so pretty.

Aw, I remember when my T+ girl was that itty! (newer pic below)

I do think that bloods are a more advanced snake, but I would recommend when you take the leap to start with a baby. My SSTP ("Black Blood") went through a testy stage when she was younger but I feel very proud of her from working with her though that to where she is now. I enjoy working with the snake as it grows.

As with anything, do a lot of research so you're as prepared as you can be!

There was another blood in the portland area a couple weeks ago. Gorgeous animals!

Awww she's pretty! I'm not normally a fan of albinos in snakes, but Albino bloods are gorgeous. (Not that albino balls, boas, corns, etc aren't pretty- just not my personal fave).

And yeah :) I've been researching them and reading for that 'someday' :) I'm going to the PDX expo next month, so I might just see if we have any breeders up here. I doubt I'd be ready to buy them at that point, but it'd be good to have cards for future clutches. And gosh darnnit, bloods are so pretty. I love the stocky bodies and spunky attitudes.. but then again, I've always liked grouchy animals :P

I'll be the devil on your shoulder. Get it!!! Jk. I'd love to get into bloods or boas one day, but I'm nowhere near prepared.

She is gorgeous. I've been trying to not look at craigslist lately. I see too many snakes I want lol. It's hard not to look though!

Here is a word of caution when it comes to Blood, get a well started CBB from a reputable breeder that devotes time to their collection.

Temperament in blood is very important and getting an animal from CL could result in a less than pleasant experience.

But yeah Albino Bloods are pretty cool :gj:

Craigslist is an awesome place. A lot of people posting things on CL are breeders that aren't fully permited to breed and sell. Which can be sketchy, but I found a pair of fires for $150 each. Male and female, ready to breed! I thought that was cool because I like Lucy's. There's just something about a nice, clean white Lucy that's always had me interested. This was (very unfortunately) before I had a job. The guy encouraged me to come check out their snakes anyways. Had a lot of nice (healthy as far as I could see) Ball Python's. Also; a lot of people will put two "males" or two "females" together, after incorrectly sexing them. Which isn't something a responsible owner/breeder would do anyways, but; They usually just want their surprise clutch out asap, and have extremely low prices.

Most of the BP's I've seen are normals, but I've seen a few morphs/breeders getting rid of stock. I can't add anymore so I didn't email, but I keep an eye out. I've seen lots of cornsnakes, a few milksnakes and a couple of rosy boas. And a few blood pythons! One was a really pretty male who was a couple of years old and was another 'I cannot email the guy about this snake, I cannot email the guy about this snake' lol. Bloods are not a species I'd want to get my first one off craigslist. That will definitely be from an expo or breeder purchase.

Smart! I'd never buy something like a Blood off of craigslist either. I only bought one of my BCI's there, and I probably won't buy anymore Boid there. Pastel Salmon BCI for $40. Couldn't pass it up. She is super healthy + super tame, didn't have a reason not to buy her! I've noticed that the Salem/Springfield area is waayy more herp friendly than here in Portland (lucky!!)

I look at the Flint, Saginaw, and Detroit Craigslist and yes there are a few local breeders. 99% of the animals listed(not just reptiles) are pet store animals that people got bored of and never knew how to properly care for in the first place. I look because I like to scavenge their supplies and feeders, but I'd think twice about any of their animals.

I really try to ignore browsing craigslist pet section. It annoys me more and more when I browse it.
