Het Pied Experts, Looking for input these markers

Hi - I'm looking for some input from all you experts on het pied markers. I have 2 females that are poss. het pied females. I have read-up on markers and I know that not all het pieds have markers. I realize it is hit or miss, but regardless, I'd appreciate any input you all have on these two - do these look like good belly markers?

Can someone explain what it is on her belly that makes it a het. Pied?

Some people call them train tracks. They are parallel black pattern running down the sides of the belly. These are a very nice representation.

I BELIEVE that the het pied markers are seen as the black lines on the belly near the tail being unbroken where in a regular normal the black lines are more broken up and faded out? I'm just guessing but that's what I'm seeing when someone on here confirms the markers compared to my own normals when looking at the same area.

Forgot to add that they are solid black pattern.

Aside from the belly tracks, a good shot of the pattern would be nice to have. Het pieds tend to have generally whacked patterns from what I've seen, you can almost pick them out from norms. Both of mine look very similar to leopard patterns.

Those look like Het markings to me. Het Pieds also tend to have some banding going on. Most of which could easily be picked out from the normals. All Hets that I have ever produced have the banded pattern and train tracks.

Thanks for all the comments. I realize even with "markers" that doesn't mean they are het pied, but at least it is a good sign!

I realize these pictures aren't great, but thanks for any input you have.

It's a VERY good sign. I have a het pied pair that do NOT have the markers but even so they regularly have babies WITH the markers.

Of course normals can show het pied looking markers, but I'd say those girls are worth throwing a pied at ;)

Thanks for all the comments. I would like to get a pied male one day, but these girls and my 100% het pied male, might be my only shot at it. I also saw on another thread that Leopards are het pied as well. Is this 100%? If I bred a leopard to a 100% het pied, would I POSSIBLY get a Leopard Pied? Thanks for everyone's help.

No. You would get leopards and normals that are 50% het pied. The piebald gene and the leopard gene are not compatible, they just end up producing animals that look similar.

This is incorrect.
WOBP is no where near perfect with some of the breedings on the genetic wizard. Go try an Albino x Toffee/Candy pairing or a Orange Ghost x Hypo pairing. It will tell you that you'll get all 100% double hets which we know isn't correct.

All Leopards are het Pied and they will produce Pieds when bred with a standard line of Pieds.
