Got my new carpet babies in!

Got these lil cuties from 3skuls. the two girls are both in shed and looks like they will be gorgeous after they shed. I couldnt be happier with the boys either!

pics just dont do them justice! I need to get a real camera instead of a crap cell camera. these guys are diamondxjungle crosses and I cant wait for them to grow up and put them to my jags! I think you can check out the parents by looking at 3skulls collection thread here on bpnet

How can you not just love baby Carpets? I'm sure you will but keep me updated on them.

Ooh! Can't wait for the post shed pics! Carpets are quickly becoming a favorite of mine! (Don't tell my balls :o)

They are so cute.

When the ones here were tiny like that I was so afraid I would hurt them with handling.
I also can’t seem to get a good picture of the carpets, maybe the key is more natural light? :confusd:
I would defiantly like to see more pics of them as they grow.

You Know I Will! female #1 just shed. perfect all one piece eye caps and all! both boys ate a small mouse hopper. and both girls ate a big asf fuzzy! gotta love that carpet attitude!

both little girls have shed now. soooo pretty! cant wait for them to settle in so I can handle them!

thats great glad shes gonna work out for you! These babies are so nice looking i'm probably gonna end up with a larger carpet project than I had anticipated. I had a good time today! I got bite by all four of those babies! every last one of them needed spot cleaned and every last one of them tagged me when I went to pic out the pooh!

Haha. Told you they were nippy.

All carpet babies are nippy at first. that jag you got from me needed more handling than what I had time for. she was just starting to calm down. but the other 1.1 jags I kept are pretty calm now with minimal handling. I'm hoping these guys calm down quickly. the wife doesnt like dealing with the nippy ones while i'm gone. lol.

I think they should. As you know I don't handle them much because I wanted them feeding.
The Sire and Dam an my other big girl were both nuts when I got them. No one worked with them.

my littlest girl just caught up with her siblings on sheds! shes gorgeous I really wished I had a real camera so you guys could see what i'm seeing! anyone wanting a beautiful jungle diamond cross get a hold of 3skulls on here you wont be disappointed!

Congrats on the new worms. I really do love carpets. Do you know what percentage diamond is in them? I don't see the tipping I would normaly expect to see in carpet/diamonds. It's possible that it hasn't come in yet or it could be the pictures but normaly I would expect to see at least some of the diamond influence by now.

its a very low percentage of diamond. the father was only 25% and the mother is of unknown origin but is a nice looking jungle! Rich (3skulls) would be able to answer better I got them from him. Also it is definitely the pics because in person you can see the diamond influence imo. i'm no expert and am fairly new to owning carpets.

Sire was 75% Diamond 25% Jungle produced by Luke Snell. His parents were both Diamond Jungle crosses. One being produced by Luke and the other from Will Bird.
The Dam was a Jungle of unknown origin.

It does. :) I don't even keep carpets. But I have a few good friends that are really into them so most of my experience is from observing there collections and babies. I've only seen a few diamond crosses in person and those were mainly diamond jungle jags sired by a 100% diamond. They were all very obvious by the time they were a few months old. I figured it might be the poor quality pictures. Either way nice babies. :)

The females are actually quite nice looking. How many years do you think you will wait before you plan on breeding them?

Those are gorgeous little things.

From my limited experience with carpets its best to slow grow them like boas and it can take 3 to 4 years for a female to mature but other people might have a better answer. I've got a female jag that's got a year of growth that I want to put one of those males to!
