    Feeding
Just feed him in his enclosure and you can eliminate that step.

Those people were misinformed. I ALWAYS feed all mine in their enclosures and i've done so for awhile with ZERO ill effects. Trust me, it'll be easier on you.

Snakes aren't smart enough to be conditioned, I think.

    And easier on the snake.

    Mike is right.
When your snake is up and ready to feed, its not the best time to be moving them around. I feed all my snakes inside their cage or tub.

How long have you been doing it?
BPs can be picky with things being changed up sometimes.

And to answer your first question. Once he is done swallowing and moving about, you can move him back.

    Re: Feeding
Some people say that feeding your snake in their cage can make them aggressive, or more prone to strike at you. I don't believe that to be true in most cases. For the snakes that are larger and need to be fed out of their tub, i usually wait about a minute after swallowing, or until they yawn, to put them back in their tub.

He'll be fine if you start feeding him in his enclosure whenever.

    Feeding
Just feed the snake in the enclosure and stop stressing it out
