Re: Thinking about a trade.
The right, I like the thinner looking spider marks on her and her head pattern. Any pics of your fires?? :)

This is the one im thinking about letting go. Does it sound like a fair trade?

I like the one on the left. Her pattern jumps at me more, and she seems at least one ioda yellower than the other. Bright, clean yellow is a very important trait when chosing a quality bee, imo.

I'd take the one on the right. And I second the "Would you be happy?" When deciding on a trade

Re: Thinking about a trade.
I appreciate all the insight. With my first breeding season behind me. I am defenitely ready to start expanding my collection. I have been considering these bumblebees partially because of convenience. But i want a quality animal. If i were to sell what do you think would be a good asking price?

Sq: Thinking about a trade.
I've had 5 real nice fires hatch out this year. 4 females all of equal or better quality. I guess I could fatten em up a bit while searching for a cleaner bee. Or maybe one closer to breeder size. So many decisions.

If I was you I would keep the Fire and start looking for a very nice high quality Bee.
I agree about the quality of the bees, and I agree that holding back the fire might be in your best interest. Imagine having them ready to breed in a couple years with little overhead cost.
Re: Thinking about a trade.
I like that fire. Its nice. Personally, out of the two bees, if you're gonna do it, I would go left. Thats where my eye went first. I like her head and pattern. The right may have higher white sides and be lighter, but I was drawn left first.
