Not eating
Trying to figure out why she won't eat. Its been almost 2 months now. Husbandry is perfect. She seems happy, I open her tub and she comes out to my hands to say hey. She has eaten great her whole life and all the other balls/boas eat fine. I have tried everything except a asf thus far and nothing. Any ideas????

Re: Not eating
Did you change anything just before she went off feeding?
-
Not eating
A little early for that "1000g wall"
Maybe try feeding every other week for a while, unless she goes back on feed.
What size meal was she taking?
-
She was taking weaned rats...I don't know what to do. And no, the only thing changed was her newspaper...

Not eating
Newspaper to newspaper?
There are some tricks. Sent it, brain it, get it real warm, make it "dance", leave it over night, step down a size, try every other week, wait her out.
Keep an eye on her weight. One of mine went 9 months without food.

I feed live all the time except for my anaconda, she eats HUGE rats and I don't want them biting the heck out of her lol. But She has barely dropped any weight, so I am not TOO worried at the moment. I am just trying to see if anyone else has had this issue for no APPARENT reason and found a way to resolve it. And yes, all my snakes have been on news paper for a while now lol.

My male hadn't eaten in 5 months(1000g wall) and someone told me to try an all-black f/t rat. I did and he attacked it like it owed him money.
I don't understand exactly why it worked, but it did. The next week I tried another black and it refused....so I tried him on a white one that my others refused, and he took it. So maybe the black got him started again...maybe it was just his time to eat...who knows ?

So, I tried a few more times and nothing....and I decided to try something different. I waited 2 weeks this time, put her in a rub and dropped a smaller prey size in there for her, BAM she took it, after like 3 1/2 months!!!! I am happy as can be today, all my snakes are eating great and got some I already introduced together (I am an early season guy ;) ), normal x spider!!!! I will be praying to the odds gods as this will be his first time breeding!!!

My experience:
My albino ball python stopped eating for a month and a half when she hit 600 grams. She hit 600 grams by the time she was 6 months old. Well she didn't eat for like 2 months. Now she's at 800 grams as I've been feeding her every 2 weeks. Her appetite is kicking in and she's turning 1 years old in 2 weeks. Strangely she wont anything bigger than weanling rats...

Yeah dang picky eaters lol

you need to go to petco and ask for some used gerbil bedding leave the live rat in a container with that gerbil bedding for 20 minutes then take the rat put it in a ziploc and swing him in a circle super fast for a minute that way the rat is dizzy and smelly like native ball python food.
I swear it works every time and make sure that your ball python does not get handled for a while before then or else she wont eat and make sure when you watch because if your feeding her live you have to watch keep a distance from her cage no loud noise or quick movements give it 5 minutes then take the rat out if she hasn't consumed it and try again in 5-10 days.
