I think Judy mentioned a website of a good breeder on here, www.pythons.org/hamper, and I've been looking at his page a little bit and finally decided to send him an email.

He told me he still has some 2004 hatchlings, they are very health and they are eatting very well. I forgot to ask if he was feeding live or F/T, but I sent another email asking that ^_^ They are 8 weeks old right now, so I think I'm gonna snatch a cutie soon before they are all gone!

20$ + 30$ shipping = Good BP price! That comes out cheaper then any BP I've seen locally, even my local breeder I get my mice from!

Where did you get her from? How old is she? Is she a Normal? What kinda tank you have her in? ^_^

EDIT: Oh and what is her name!

We have a few pythons from Don - 2 cute-as-sin BP's and a spirited Liasis Fuscus. He may not have the flashiest web site in the world and has told me he spends so much time with his animals he doesnt have much time to piddle around on the PC - but it's damn hard to go wrong with anything from Hamper.

Yeah, thats exactly what I heard Smulkin. That's why im excited to get mine from him ^_^ Cheap AND good reputation! Kinda hard to come by that!

He told me the site is under construction cause I mentioned the terms page isn't working. Now, knowing he spends so much time with his critters, makes me feel even more secure getting one from him. He obviously puts alot of care into his critters. ^_^

I'm sorry! After reading my post it sounded like I bought her from this breeder  Her name is Alexa. She is a normal. I got her from the guy who taught my drivers ed class of all places. His landlord was forcing him to get rid of it. He's really more of an aquaintence. I got her with a 20g long aquarium. I'm going to switch her out of that into a sterilite/rubbermaid container after 2-3 months once she's settled into my house. I don't know how old she is. I never found that out. She is about 2ft long so i'm guessing probably a year or two. She isn't "hefty" through her girth yet, so she is still young. I will try to get her onto p/k rat pups once she's settled. I've only had her a few hours and love her!! I know you will love yours!

Hrm, if she isn't very "girthy" and 2ft long she might actually be less then a year old. I think hatchlings are like 16inches long or something, I could be wrong though.

    YAY!!!!!!
I also got a response today from Don, he told me that some are feeding on live and some are on F/T, and that he always tries to get them all on F/T. So I'm sure if I request it, he will give me a female feeding on F/T already ^_^

Yeah, I figured she was aroud a year or so. I'm just letting her settle in before I try to hold her or feed her anymore. From the looks of it she should be able to handle p/k rat pups when she is ready to eat. I'll get pics of her and the Tegu I got yesterday as soon as I can.

I'm eager to see her! Yeah, let her settle in for about a week before you go handling or feeding her ^_^ BP's take a while to get used to their surroundings.

i've been waiting forever to get one now because alex hue's site is the only one where they have pictures of each individual snake and he's still sold out. Wish there were more sites like that out there.

Send an Email to Don Hamper and ask for a couple pics of his 2004 hatchlings, I'll bet he will send you some ^_^

I did send an email asking if there were individual pics and i was told there weren't. It's getting so hot here I may have to buy from a store

I personally don't mind that I can't see the EXACT snake I'm going to buy. I didn't see Elysia before I bought her, and she is fine ^_^ Then again its kinda hard to be surprised when you know your snake is always gonna be black ^_^ But I'll just make sure to ask Don to send me the best looking Female he has left and I'm she she will be cute as a button!

It's already killing me T_T Though if I had to choose between Elysia and getting a BP first instead, I would still pick Elysia ^_^

I know you love your Elysia :D I actually wanted to start with the Tarahumara Mountain Kingsnake, but rescued Alexa (BP) and Beefy (Tegu) instead.

Yeah - like I said he's an older guy - been dealing with Pythons since the early 60's - and been deeply involved in them as opposed to the web. THe first BP's I got from Don were on the way to an Opeth concert in Cincinnati - he actually met me in Columbus and brought a couple clutches out with him so I could pick and chose. Honestly these folks are so involved with husbandry and breeding the would need extra hands to juggle the web maintenance of posting individual pics etc.

While I agree that's an awesome feature I'd like to see employed and lets you know exactly what you are getting in terms of appearance/pattern I'd still can't reccomend Don highly enough.

Yeah, I personally trust them in picking me a good BP ^_^ I'm sure they are all awesome!
