I just got finished cleaned Sprockets current enclosure again ( she spills here water bowl like its going out of style ), and was wondering what you guys do with your snakes when you clean their houses. I have a little extra rubbermaid that i use for Andy, but Sprocket is all of 6 feet now and i havent come up with anything for her yet. When i get her new cage completed i can just stick her in the rubbermaid she has now. For now she just wraps around my arm and i mop up all the water with my other hand. When full on cleaning is required, she goes into the bath tub with some tepid water and just hangs out. What do you guys do?

Well right now since Elysia is so small, I bought a small rubbermaid to put her in. I place her in there whenever I need to do something in her tank that requires her not to be in it like digging for poop, or cleaning and disinfecting stuff. I wouls suggest going to Wal-mart and buying a 90QT sterilite for 9$. Solder or drill some air holes in it, put some newspaper on the bottom, and maybe put one of his hides in there too if it will fit. Other then that I dunno what else to suggest.

If none of the kid's are home to hold them, the ole pillow case works great.

My husband makes me hold him or he does what Will does and puts him around his neck.

Same here, around the neck they go. Unless someone says "I wanna hold him!"

I have an empty tub on my rack that I usually put them in. Or they go in my spare 10 gallon.

My daughter plays with Caesar (gopher snake)...and I let Shaggy (beardie) hang out on my shoulder while I clean his enclosure. :)

I am of the neck/tupperware school as well - we've got quite a few spare, smaller sterelites we use - if it is a more cagey species I usually throw a towel or shirt over it so it doesnt feel too exposed.

I clean Jojo's sterilite once a week usually a day before feeding day. I have a smaller sterilite and i take the opprotunity to give him a soak in some warm water while i clean his house. He seems happy as a clam when i put him back in.
