Just wondering how many of you snake owners have a gamer alter ego aside you snake one hope i said that right..

i myself used to be a big rpg(rocket propelled grenade) fan never played fps(frames per second) but went to my first lan party and got hooked became
silent assassin at the lan partys(I'm a good sniper) and I'm proud to say i haven't gone crazy and killed anyone because of the video games i play.

My current game is UT2K4 so if enough people own that we should set up a private server and kill each other. :twisted:

I play DAOC on the Bedevere server. (Albion realm) If anyone else plays DAOC, maybe we can hook up sometime, or kick each other around on the battle-grounds if you're in another realm. :wink:

That should be good for now. I still have an original Ninetendo to play Duck Hunt and Mario Bros. SNES around here somewhere. And i have an original, working Atari 2600 i still play occasionally. is beutiful best story line, game play the only problem is length and deus x was fun and thief basically feel like the same game though same company i believe and gta is my favorite of all time im an original fan i played when it had only the helicopter view still the greatest games of all time i avoided the new ones because i thought by switching views they betrayed the series but when i played them i was hooked san andreas is a pre order definitely. Alot of the same taste Diablo 2 was great if you like that try Dungeon Siege 2 when it comes out.

I just play CounterStrike(1.5.....none of that Steam/1.6 crap.). Thing is, it's hard to set up a "lets meet up on there and play" type thing. You'd have to have the ip to a certain server and stuff, then if the server is far away from your friend you want to play, they will lag bad, etc.
But yeah, if anyone here has CS and wants to play, feel free to pm me. I'm up playing in the wee hours of the morning, so you'd have to be up around then. Or in a different time zone. :)

I used to be do the whole CAL thing with Counter-Strike, but it just takes up too much time.

I hated 1.6 at first, but after a week or two I got used to... well I had to since I was competing in CAL at the time. My burst sprays didn't work at all at first so I became a mad aug whore for a while... the bursting and spraying came back over the months so now I'm back to colt/ak. I find that hitbox registration is better with 1.6 now... it was horrible before if you kept your interp at 0.1 so you had to change it to 0.05 or lower to NOT interp (unlike 1.5). Now, it's just auto-set to 1/cl_updaterate or something I think, which although was laggy earlier in 1.6 is actually both accurate and smooth now. The shield is complete garbage but any half-decent pub will ban it, and no one ever uses it in scrims.

Anyway, I don't play CS much anymore because just to stay competitive it takes over your life, LOL. And having moved back to the west coast now, where there are no good pubs, everytime I pub I get banned so there's not much point anymore. You don't really lose any skills by taking a break from the game I find, but you won't continue to improve without putting a lot of time into it. I've always said that if I ever stopped improving I'd stop playing, and since I don't have enough time to put into it to improve anymore I guess that's now the case.

Maybe when CS for HL2 comes out I'll get sucked back into it, but for now I'll just spend my spare time on herps ;P

Heh, I tried CS 1.6 and my graphics card is garbage, so everything was distorted. I played a few rounds with it, and no matter what server I went into, my ping was huge and it was so laggy I couldn't do anything. So I said nuts to this and went back to 1.5, lol. And I'm not a huge CS freak or anything. I just play for a few hours every night until I get bored of it. I'm pretty bad, so that discourages me from playing lots too, lol. And I wish I could take long breaks from CS and then come back with all my skills again, but a while ago when I first got into CS, I had lost the copy of it on my computer from a reformatting, and I had to wait probably 8 months to a year before my friend would lend me his copy again. It took me about 2 weeks to get decent again. :lol:

Well, since I havent heard of 99.999% of these games, I guess the answer to........

Hey, I remember the oldschool games like that. I remember being a youngin bugging for quarters to go play me some pacman or centipede up at the local arcade. Those were the days... 8)

I'ma hardcore RPG fan ^_^ Most any RPG I will play. Mostly PS2 ones. I'm also into MMORPG, I've played every single one that has been on the market to-date ^_^ Was most recently playing FFXI.
I'll play almost anything from Squarenix *Squaresoft/Enix* Final Fantasy is my favorite series, followed by Xenogears and Suikoden and Breath of Fire ^_^

Suikoden is great not to many people know about it i played the ps1 suikodens i really got into them. I've played just about every game lol. MY name is Daftperception so if you see that name you know it's me.

Used to play DAOC - had toons from all three realms for a while - that was quite a while ago. In the past year the only game I have managed to squeeze into my schedule has been Planetside (MMOFPS) - the biggest resource hog of a game I have ever encountered - if you check it out go Terran Republic - they be hurtin for peoples.

I always say stuff like "pwnd u" and stuff, but not with games. It's sorta with other people I know from a wrestling forum I admin. We use talk like that to make fun of the n00b posters, cuz dey iz 2 cumputr ilitret 2 pozt normly so dey pozt lik diz. It's become a whole language my friends use on online messengers. :shock:

Gaming is awsome, but a lotta people ruin it by being stupid.

What i really dont like is the people that think take it way too far. When that kind of "shorthand" or "internet speak" was new, it was probably kinda neat, something to set yourself apart from everyone else. But now a days, everyone uses it like its a replacement for english and gets really had to understand. I actually can't stand people who talk like that all the time. I think the worst part about it is that i had to find a translator online to make the post above ;)

Saying pwned and stuff like that when you totally stick it to some newbie is ok. But only idiots actually go around and talk 1337.

Hehe - I can only stand to use that caca in a sarcastic way intended to make fun of it - I think it's pretty much the lamest outgrowth of interweb usage to date - gaming or not.

Been following development of this thang here - it's looking pretty . . . immersive in the same way Half-Life was, and damn the graphics look pretty damn stunning - downlad the trailers if you have a chance.

Ultima Online on the Oblivion Shard. That's my Elf character. We used to play on the OSI shards, but it seemed they were determined to bleed all the fun out of the game while still charging $10 a month to play. Oblivion is much more fun, and doesn't charge anything.

I stick to counsel gaming. I keep my collection pretty short because when i get done with a game, I take it around the corner to a game store & I trade it in towards my next purchase. Right now I am exclusive to the PS2. My collection is as follows: Freedom Fighters, Madden 04, NHL 04, MVP Baseball 04, Tiger Woods Golf 04 & Resident Evil Dead Aim. My fiancee's collection is The first two Harry Potter games, Shrek Treasure Hunt, Kingdom Hearts & the Power Puff Girls.

Games that I have sold back over the last few months include: Fatal Frame, Grand Theft Auto Vice City (Insanely GREAT game), MVP Baseball 03 & Ghost Recon.

How about board games or card games? Anyone do any playing of these on a regular basis? I've got a regular Monday night poker game with about 7-8 ( depending on how many of them show up ) every week. Its more an excuse to drink beer and watch football, baseball, hockey, or basketball depending on the season. Anyone else?

I've been known to be quite good at Cranium.. other than that we play Simpsons Trivia, Speed (card game), BS (card Game), Texas Hold 'em (Poker game), and other board games like Malarky, Balderdash, Trivial Persuit, Scattergories, Monopoly (Simpsons) and that's about it :) Board games really are fun and much more social than video games. :)

doom 3 anyone for me i don't think so I don't like games that have a main goal of freaking you out but for you people that do it looks great the part were you walk through rooms with only a small flashlight look very creapy I guess im just chicken.

ok .. so i just played Doom III for the first time, and i cannot continue tonite. It scared the living crap outa me. I wondered why they had it locked up and carded me to buy it and why there was a warning on the back of the box :shock:. Walking around the first level with the flashlight not seeing anything till you get whacked is a bit too much for me at 2:00 am. It'll be really good tomorrow night tho :)

just played doom3, man this game really freaked me out. But I LOVE IT !! My brother cant take it, too much for him :)
