    BP in water bowl
My new BP has been in her water bowl throughout the whole day today. Just wondering what she is doing.

I suggest to take a really good look at her and make sure she doesn't have any little friends on her(mites), not saying for sure that's what it is but defiantly worth a check. Best of luck!

Reputable breeder or not it can still have a case of mites. mites are not always seen by the naked eye until they grow to and adult size which is often too late. Check temps , that could also be a reason for soaking but I believe you have experience in snake keeping so my money is on that it has mites!

Put her on white paper towels if she has mites you can see them ALOT better!

OR, she could be using it as a hide. Do you have other suitably sized hides for her in the cage?

I put her on paper towels overnight and this morning i checked on her and there are no mites. But she still spends alot of time on or near the water bowl.

Is her belly pink? I have a girl that will curl up in her water dish when she's going into shed no matter how high the humidity.

I have had one of my girls for over a year now. I saw her do that for the first time a few days ago. For the next 3 days or so all day she would sit and float in the water at night roam around. She ate fine and everything. The temperature around 82 and humidity 63%. Today was the first day she wasn't in her bowl so I checked and her eyes are all blued. So more or less a pre-shed bath which I had never seen in the year I have had her.
