before i had my sensor on top of the substrate and now i put it underneath the corner of the warm hide and it reads 91.2 degrees. Where should i put the sensor for optimal temperature?

Warm side is a little on the cool side. 88-92 °F would be better. The cool side is perfect. I've got mine under the warm hide, but i do regularly check the temps outside of it on the substrate around the hide just to be on the safe side.
EDIT: Looks like you have them about perfect:). Missed your above post.

I have my hotside probe stuck directly on the bottom above the heatpad and under the hot hide. I have the cold side probe stuck on the bottom of the coldside under the cold hide. I keep my temps 90-95 on the hotside and 80-85 on coldside, this is for my mexican black kingsnake though mind you. If you stick your probes on the bottom surface under the substrate, make sure you have a tempgun to check the temps in the hides to make sure they are good. The temps in my hot hide is between 89-93 and 79-82 in my coldside.

91.2F inside the warm hide and cool side of 79 is great. It's often difficult to achieve exactly 90 warm/80 cool and you're well within acceptable range. :)

p.s. my 21 inch BP just ate a small mouse for the first time today!! i think the small mouse is alittle too small, do you think i should upgrade to adult mice?

I like to stick by the girth rule when it comes to prey. I try to feed a rat that is very close in girth to the biggest point on the snake.

A 21 inch BP should be able to eat an adult mouse just fine.

Try giving him an adult mouse next weekend. I'll bet he'll take it. :)
