If you are that far along, you should probably remove the Press n Seal now. As they get close to pipping there should be a bit more air exchange. Looking forward to some pictures when they go. Good luck with the odds gods.

eggs incubated at 87* day 57
I have incubated at 89 the past couple years but this year I incubated at closer to 87. When I incubated at 89 I usually had pippers right around day 55. This year at 87 I have had 2 clutches hatch so far, and they didn't start pipping on their own untill day 60. They did start deflating a good bit before that however.

Seems like 60 days is the average for me. Incubate between 87-89 over the past few years. It's hard for me to wait that long.....

Agreed - Somewhere between day 45 and 50 we start doing daily air exchanges until the little ones hatch.

    Are they candling fine?

I don't believe in cutting the eggs. They'll pip when they want to.

I incubated at 88-89 and everyone pipped on day 53. It all depends.

I incubated at 89 and they're pipping on day 51. Interesting, they seem to be faster than the other snakes mentioned in this thread

I'm on day 58 at 88.5ish degrees. The eggs have been fully deflated for almost 2 weeks even though humidity is up. I got nervous about them but didn't want to cut, so I gently poked the eggs with my finger. Each one responded with a little 'kick'. This thread is helping me maintain my patience for a few more days!

I'm at day 44 and I'm starting to get excited Im nervous serving is going to go wrong now but I still don't plan to cut. I see movement and veins when I candle and I still have press and seal but I notice condensation starting to develops in the tub and there wasn't any up till now.

OMG day 50 now I'm dying, to cut or not to cut. I had pretty much decided not to cut but the temptation is getting worse LOL I removed the press and seal and the condensation has decreased and the eggs have deflated slightly but they still look good. I'm thinking if I don't cut then they might come out out sooner instead of sitting in the egg with their head poking out for a week.

I've never really been able to understand why some people choose to cut their eggs on or even before the 60 day mark. Is it just impatience?
Even when us women are pregnant with our children, going overdue is quite common & generally doctors won't proceed with any interventions (whether it be an induction or an elective c-section, which is essentially what cutting is) for at least a week-10days. From my understanding, there's more risks associated with cutting and I don't believe I will ever cut any eggs that my girls lay, though I'm sure there will be the temptation.

That being said, I do support cutting if an egg is obviously overdue and the rest of it's clutch-mates have pipped/hatched themselves.

Well its day 52 and some of the eggs are deflated pretty bad what causes this? Is the egg deflating because the baby is absorbing the fluid in the egg? I open the tub every day and check on them I hope I haven't caused a problem by messing with them too much.

Day 54 and three have pipped five still to go. I did cut a bigger hole for them after they pipped. I hope that's OK.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/02/hejypu9u.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/02/8a8ajejy.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/02/8a6yqemy.jpg
