Guess that Het Game!

Hi, i thought it would be fun to get everyone's opinion on the following ball python (sorry no belly pics). It may or may not be Het for a single recessive gene. If you had to guess, which one of the following answers would you choose? I'll post the answer around midnight. Thanks!

1. Het Albino
2. Het Axanthic
3. Het Caramel Albino
4. Het Clown
5. Het Genetic Stripe
6. Het Hypo/Orange Ghost
7. Het Lavendar Albino
8. Het Pied
9. Het for Nothing!

x2 looks like a het albino to me. pit beat me guess i'm x3

I would guess #1 with that white going up the alien heads.

But don't have a strong knowledge of some of the genes on the list.

I remember reading something similar but i thought it was all the way around the alien heads, not just on the sides of them. I don't have much knowledge of them either. It just sorta looked like a het clown or two i've seen. Idk.

Wow! I had no idea you could tell het albino (or any other het) just by looking at them. I'd like to see more threads like this!

I didn't produce her, so i'll find out for sure in a couple of years. I do agree that she could look het Albino too, but her busy pattern and alien heads make me lean more towards het Clown.

What was her pairing?

Het Clown would have been low on my list of guesses. But I'll be the first to admit I'm not the best at picking these things out.

Pastel Clown x Pastel Het Clown. I purchased her as a het clown, but i always hold a small level of skepticism in case of honest mistakes, so i won't know for sure until i actually breed her. That's the tricky part with Hets though, it's tough to pick them out!

I'm the same way, I don't like to call them 100% until I know it for sure.
I have a female het Clown that I was hoping would go this year but didn't.

Man they really missed some odds on that one!!

I did not mention anything about the rest of the clutch, unless there was a misunderstanding somewhere.

Pastel Clowns and Clowns were in fact produced in the same clutch.

I've seen a lot of het clowns that have a similar pattern as mine. I've also seen het clowns that have a reduced pattern like yours. I'm definitely not an expert on the topic. I started this thread because i thought it would be interesting to hear which visual traits people look for in certain hets.

Ahh ok gotcha. Yeah, i'd be bummed too, but a 1/8 chance of hitting a normal isn't low.

I have hets that look like the one I posted and I have them that look like the one you posted. I also produced normal that also looked like yours and mine. I agree that recessive can change the look of a het. but for someone to say that they can be 100% at picking them out (not saying you said this) I would like to see it done with 50 to 100 snakes. I would be glad if there was a way. I hate making photo I.D's

what I look for in certain hets isn't that interesting, I buy from some that's trusted and I also look for a photo I.D.
a photo I.D. is only as good as the person supplying it.
