Show off your PET snakes
I know people here have AMAZING looking animals and have big plans for future breeding. This thread is for PETS only. Show off your pet BPs. The ones you have no intention of breeding or selling but you absolutely love. This is my 1150 gram (as of yesterday) normal male. He is the only snake i dont ever plan to breed and also the one i would never get rid of. http://i1324.photobucket.com/albums/...ps894b953c.jpghttp://i1324.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8068108b.jpghttp://i1324.photobucket.com/albums/...psbfcfc00f.jpg

Show off your PET snakes
Ok well I'm cheating a bit but...
This is my normal female. She was my first bp. I always thought she was a he until a breeder sexed her for me recently. I still refer to her as a boy though lol. His/her name is Indy. I always planned to keep him but once I found out he was a she, i'll now be breeding her. She won't ever leave my care though. :)

I love how dark she is. I'll probably work her into my cinny projects. :gj:

This is Ella. She is my one and only for now and she will stay with me forever. I adore her. These were taken right after I got her home and she still had a little stuck shed but it's all gone now :D

This is my big normal male, Nibiru (and my husband).
He was technically my first. I was snake sitting him while I was buying my first, and now I own him.
He belonged to my coworker at the time, who was a drug addict. When she moved back in with her parents, she had him living with her best friend. Her best friend was caught with heroin and ended up in rehab. Since she wasn't allowed to keep him at home, I ended up snake-sitting him. She had him in a 20g with a single red bulb and a water bowl, nothing else. I had a spare cage that he happened to love, then cleaned up his bad shed. She was always convinced she'd move out of her parent's place, but it clearly wasn't happening. She said if I didn't keep watching him, she'd give him away to a pet store, but refused to accept me keeping him. Six months later, I just gave her some cash and said I was keeping him. Then she got fired. So...now he's mine.
He's so freaking lovable, or as lovable as a snake can me. He has no fear of people at all, doesn't hiss or strike, and is content wedged against my body while I'm reading or watching tv. He's the "beginner's snake ambassador" for any of my fearful friends.

This is Mandy - my first ever ball python, aquired today! I currently have no intentions of breeding her, but that may change in the next 20 years. She's a kind of rescue? A friend of mine bought her last week from LLL thinking she was 'soooo cuteeeee' and then decided this week she didn't like the idea of feeding her mice/rats and said she was going to release her, so, I went and grabbed her this morning! So, Mandy is now my baby girl. She's a 2013 ball python bred by LLL reptiles. Don't have any good photos but I only wanted to handle her for a minute or less before putting her in her cage to settle in

Sorry for the messy photo background but she's going into quarantine and the only place I can do that is in my walk in closet so she's staying in there for a while until she's healthy and I'm sure of it

I've currently got a pair of cornsnakes, both young. I was planning on getting a ball python, but not until about August - November when four reptile conventions will be in my area, and then I was planning on snagging a male piebald. But, couldn't let her just go release Mandy so she's home with me. she seems pretty calm, Seems like she may be a good ball python ambassador!

I don't have any ball pythons that aren't a part of future breeding plans but I do have this little Apodora papuana:
http://i839.photobucket.com/albums/z...es/apodora.jpg
Was sold to me as a female but probed super deep on either side so I'm calling it male. Growing him up nice and slow, fed smaller meals every 10-14 days. I could conceivably get a female one day but to be honest, I doubt I'd risk this boy in any attempts to produce eggs.

This is my baby, Boots. I'm honestly not sure whether the sex is male or female, but I just figure it's a him. I am just too afraid of sexing him because I don't want to accidentally hurt him and I don't know any herp keepers in my area! He is my first baby, and he's still young. Its too hard to pick just one or two good pictures, so Ill do my best to narrow it down! He is a goofy guy and loves getting attention. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/07/15/ajazunu8.jpg

Re: Show off your PET snakes
Flash, our male normal, is a pet and he has a forever home with us. We took him in after the manager at a local pet store called and asked if he wanted him. Flash's former owner was in the store saying "find someone to take him or I'll cut his ****ing head off". He was a mess - stuck shed and scars where live feeders had gotten him. This picture was taken about a week after we brought him home.http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r...h/_MG_1084.jpg

Considered all are my pets and almost all but some of my BPs, Argentine boas, California Kingsnakes, and Angolans are to be my breeding projects, here's some that I don't yet have plans for:
Capona, my first BP. No projects planned:
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i3...ps60793141.jpg
Bentley, albino male. No projects planned, though he's a smokin' albino!
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i3...ps4f62c584.jpg
Cleo, "dinker" female normal. I'd like to do a two gene fire something male to her, but no set plans:
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i3...ay31201217.jpg
Scarlett, normal female. No set plans with a specific male:

Blair, normal female. No set plans with a specific male:
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i3...212011body.jpg
Mox, spider female. No projects planned:

And I'll cheat too....a couple non BP pet snakes:

And my forever pet, Mona the corn. She'll never be a breeder because she's spayed.

Re: Show off your PET snakes
My first snake, a Pinstripe. Never intended on breeding, but got sucked into the hobby a few years ago. He's now my best stud. Going to retire him to strictly pet status in a bit.

My strictly pet albino. Have no breeding plans for him and never did.(need to get update photos on him)

Well, technically Bryan is still part of the breeding project for maybe a couple more years on account of his ability to produce the granite trait, but this one is my baby. He is the one that got it all started, and will always be my favorite of the bunch. He has gone more places with me and been shown to more people than any of my others. He will probably be retired from the breeding project soon since his boy Ace has a much better representation of the granite morph. But Bryan will always be with me as long as he's alive.
