My first clutch didn't make it
:tears::tears: My mojo decided to drop her eggs while I was on vacation. I am sure they are bad. It was less than a week. She was bred to a black pastel. 4 slugs, and 3 eggs. The eggs smell, are sunken, and two have green on them. I am so sad. I put the eggs into the incubator that I had running since January just in case but I have little hope. I am so praying that the one without green pulls through but sigh, so so so bad timing. This is her first clutch. Welp, there is always next year I guess.
Re: My first clutch didn't make it
so sorry to hear that. :-(

Re: My first clutch didn't make it
I cut the two eggs without veins today to see what was inside, they were solid white goop. Like white pudding. The one did have a little liquid stuff in it but mostly solid like a hard boiled egg. strange. I have not messed with the egg that candled good. I am still really worried about her because she had a little green spot on her.
Re: My first clutch didn't make it
never hurts to try, if that egg goes bad you will know it by the smell and will change in appearance. the green spot wipe it off. I have an egg in a clutch of lesser to a pastel clown. its one end is a window. it starts to mold only on the window. I check and wipe every day. the egg is doing good and is getting near the end of incubation. never give up until you're sure. and if you're opening that tub up a lot. make sure you have a good seal so you build the humidity back up quickly. I always use press n seal. good luck with that egg. don
