Grats on the new pic up. Hope you are ready for the commitment it takes for these snakes. 50% dwarf is still a large growing snake! Especially a female. If you run into a question be sure to post.

I recognize that sign . . . did you get your dwarf from Mike Chambers @ High Performance Herps?

Very nice pickup. I'm not sure how large 50% dwarf will get, but I'm sure it's still quite large.

50% Dwarf - in theory - would get 14+' for females, males would stay around 9-11' with larger males maxing around 13' for 50% dwarf, based on crosses that have already been done with these snakes. Some females can stay on the smaller siide with less food, however.

She is about a year old and 5 feet long maybe 6 feet. When can I switch to rabbits after small-jumbo rats are done.

Can switch to rabbits anytime. If she will take them and you have them go for it.

What is she eating now? Jumbo rats? She could probably eat a extra small - small rabbit.

If she can easily take large rats she can probably eat an extra small rabbit. There are rabbit pinks which are about the size of a large pup so after that they have a rabbit size for everyone.

If you have a scale you can weigh out the rat and then just purchase rabbits within that range. I'm not sure if you are ordering from an online feeder source but I have heard they will try to get as close as you need if you let them know.

I'm doing it at the Scales N Tails in Northglenn, CO. They just sell live feeders.

Could a BP eat a rabbit fuzzy? Or pink?

It depends on the size of the bp, but yea, probably.

Probably would be able to tell them what you want and they can get the closest thing for you. Thing that sucks about live is they are always growing so I'm sure it will be hit or miss if they have the right size depending on how many rabbits they are breeding. Might want to try a pink to see if she will take it. Sometimes it takes a bit to get them onto rabbits, however sometimes they take them without issue. Also if they don't have the right size you could always give her a rat that week.

Yep shouldn't be an issue. A rabbit pink is about the size of a rat pup so as long as they can take a pup they should be fine.

You posted this snake up in the For Sale section back in May, and now two months later it's your new pickup? But then I saw you just bumped the For Sale post again. What's up with that lol...?

While balls could technically take rabbits, they may not recognise them as prey. I've tried giving my ball pythons live rabbit pinks before and they all refused. And they're pretty aggressive eaters.

Wait really? All of the newborn rabbit pinks I get for my ferrets are large rat size (1 lb).

Are you sure you are getting rabbit pinks? No fur? Less than 2 weeks old? Usually a half a pound and up are considered extra small rabbits. Although it might depend on who you are getting them from.
