Ball Python Family Complete (for now)

I went to my local pet shop today, just to pick up some frozen pinkies... when i noticed that the ball python I had seen beginning its shed earlier this week... still hadn't completed. the store owner told me she'd give me a "deal" bc it was "mean". so the jist of it is, i got a beautiful little ball python (cbb, from 2003's offspring i believe) for 40 bucks. i'll get some better pics up as soon as the nasty dry skin is gone and he/she has settled into the new enclosure.

it sure does seem that way :). he had been living in a 10 gallon screen topped tank heated with a lamp, and lizard litter substrate. :(

hey brad, you've probably seen the little crap of a store it came from. little place next to pizza hut in farmville, bout 1/4 mile from longwood campus.

nice snake. they probably say it's "mean" cause most pet stores feed snakes in their enclosure and rarely handle them. therefore the snakes snap almost everytime they open the cage. that's just what I think.

well guys, one day has passed... the snake successfully removed the extra skin on its own. pretty smart little cookie i got here. i'm very happy with my new purchase.

In all reality, sexing just by sight is only 50% effective :) All I can do is speculate based on minor physical features.

I gpot my first Bp for free from a petco because she was "mean." With time, and a better cage, she tamed down noticibly. I'd be mean too, if I were being kept in a tank with zero humidity and I had skin flakes all over me!

Grats bro - can' beleive I missed this - let us know when you got the sex on her (yeah my vote - she's sportin keyhole). You'll pamper her for sure.
