I was reading the thread about jsmorphs2's new baby and saw the comment by andybill: "Parenthood is the GREATEST thing on the planet."

My first thought was, parenthood is cool, but Pecan Pie is the greatest thing on the planet!!! This is me and Pecan Pie >>> :date:

Thought it would make for a fun thread...so, fill in the blank...

a 1960's gibson les paul, played by Saul Hudson, is one of the greatest things ever, objectively speaking, but it doesn't mean I wouldn't trade it in for parenthood, peanuts, or an opportunity to purchase two healthy female snakes from Doug.

as a post script, I love slash, hate peanut butter with a deep-seated antipathy, and I strove to keep my comments in the PG range.

Being a parent is the greatest thing on the planet! This is a broad statement as many of us have hatched out baby snakes/reptiles or dogs or whatever and there's is nothing cooler than seeing new life come in to this world. :D

The family me and my girl started

Both of us came from crappy child hoods, so our family means a lot. We started our family young.. she was 21 when she had our first son and I was 19 and turned 20, 10 days later. There is nothing better then waking up bedside the love of your life 7 years later knowing that you now have 2 awesome boys with her ( 5 and 3 :D) and you both have turned out successful in life and can give your children what you didn't have.

A bright sunny day around 75 degree temps with no wind and no constraints on my time so I've got nothing to do but enjoy it. (ie: an entire day to myself)

Waking up when I'm camping, unzipping the tent just in time to sit on a rock and watch the sun rise over the still lake while listening to the sounds of peace and tranquility....

Hands down.... Being a mom!!

Love all my kids; 2 legged, 4 legged.. and no legged.

I put it there. When I move, he comes with me. Has his own little bed, enjoys jigsaw puzzles and the beach. House gnomes are like gremlins that do nice things instead of making items disappear. Or like house elves in Harry Potter without the slavery and given a much better life.
