Odd Gods Were Good to Me!!

Hey Guys,

Sorry I've been kinda AWOL lately, it's been a busy year. Just wanted to share this clutch with you guys. Got 5 eggs from my pinstripe x spider pairing. 4/5 eggs hatched out spinners this morning!!!

I was blown away. 80% of my clutch hit the double gene. My last clutch was terrible, but this certainly makes up for it!

They look GREAT, Chris. Almost pinkish blushing there, looking forward to seeing what they look like post-shed!!

And I think I will hold two back given that I have a 1.1 pair.

Male will be paired to my Mojo in 2014, female will be grown up to be a breeder when she's an adult :D. I have a lesser male that will enjoy some time with her in the future lol.

I was stoked when I finally cut the eggs. At first I thought I hit 3 spinners, a spider, and a pin - which I was stoked about to begin with. But my little pin came out spin, and I couldn't believe my luck!!

Someone asked for the non spinner baby - here he/she is. A spider. :). I know there is a big debate about super spiders, but if my spider girl keeps spitting out the gene like this I may be converted into believing hahaha.

What a cute little spider!

If your girl produces all spiders/spider combos, she could very well be homozygous spider. Spider isn't co-dom so she can't be "super spider" but she can carry two spider genes and not produce normals. A lot of people believe homozygous spiders are lethal but that isn't true. Pinstripes are another combo that can be homozygous pinstripes. Good luck! I would say if she produces all spiders with her next clutch, you can be pretty certain she's a homozygous spider.

ahaha I was actually thinking that!! She's 7 right now and this is her 3rd clutch but I bought her from a local breeder so this is her first clutch with me. I am going to try and contact him and see what she was producing before. :)
