Peekaboo!! First Pip of the Season!
Very excited when I checked the incubator tonight and saw a little nose sticking out of one of the eggs!

I wasn't expecting this at all as this clutch is at day 49. Will post some more pictures as these little guys decide to show their faces!

Fingers crossed for some healthy babies.... and maybe a morph or two ;)

    Thanks!

This one is a who's your daddy clutch.

She is a virgin Pastel and she was paired with a few males.

In October she was paired with a proven Pastel Champ and proven Butter Spinner, no visible locks. Both males and the female did not seem interested. In the early spring she was paired with an un-proven Pewter Spotnose, spotted two locks.

Congrats and good luck with everything.

I just love that very first picture, that is an adorable picture and you should use it on a POTM, HOTM or BOTM contest.

Well the second hatchling pipped this morning and it looks like a third is starting to work away at making a little cut in the egg.

I'm thinking the Butter Spinner might have done the job on this one too. It would be cool if the first one that pipped is a Butter Pastel Pinstripe :D

4 of 6 heads giving us a sneak peak now. Shot is kinda blurry, but it does the trick!

Here is the first one that pipped again, slightly further out of the egg now. Any guesses??

Lmao! I hear yah! They don't seem like they are in a rush. Breeding ball pythons requires so much patience it is ridiculous. Hitting 1500+, Pairing, Locking, Building, OVI, Pre-Lay, Lay, Incubation, Pip, "Hurry up and wait"...

Peeking through the incubator door it looks like 2 hatchlings are making their way out of the egg. Will give them some time and snap some photos later this afternoon.

Hey Crystal! lol, yes I am up in the Snowy North! Yup that is a pastel, got a pretty cool pattern though.... sort of a lonely island or something on its back.

Haven't thought about hold backs yet. Yesterday was super busy so I didn't get them sexed or weighed, but after I sex them tonight I'll figure out if we are holding back. Thinking just the blast will be held if it is a female. One more 2 gene female can never hurt. Overall I was pretty happy as this clutch was from a virgin pastel girl.
