Help us choose our logo!

We have brought our choices down to these final 3.
#1 We like it but most of the feedback we received said it looked to much like the medical symbol. It's actually a river that turns into a snake.
#2 It differs from #3 because the R in reptiles is "open".
#3 The R in reptiles is closed, we did this so we could se which looked better.

It seems like everyone has a logo these days. I feel behind the times. Where do people GET these logos?

In my opinion number 2 looks the best :)

I think 1 is best, because the snake can easily be printed onto shirts etc. The second and third logos will present a greater challenge when printing promotional items, especially if you were to embroider.

That is a good point but this is logo only. We are having business cards, t shirts etc designed with our choice which will be more print friendly. Thanks for voting.

I vote #1 black as the best logo

Just so everyone knows also the white and black backgrounds are just there to see how they appear on each color. We will have both colors for the one we choose. The emblem and words will be on a transparent background, but we had to make one for each because black wording wouldn't show up on black well, again we will have both. Thanks again everyone for voting and keep them coming!

No matter what you do I would not choose white, it's way too plain I would have to go with either number 1 or number 2 in black. Main vote will be number 2 black though.

A logo needs to work on all colors of backgrounds... and also in greyscale. I think the first set is the best; you can increase the thickness of the outline around the snake so it stands out a little better on a white background.

The OP lists the differences in the first post. The "R" in "Reptiles" is closed in the third logo.

I said number 1 black. I like the snake part the best, I think the globe on 2 and 3 is a little to cheesy for me IMPO. I like it though, very clean! :gj:

I say #1 and just make the snake a little more bold so it pops on the light background.

I had the color schemes in mine swapped around so I have one that is great on light backgrounds and one that is great on med and dark.

I love #1 way more than the others. The only thing I would change is the loop in the snake. It looks a little unnatural and I think it would look better if the snake just "snaked' back and forth just like a river.

I don't think it looks like the medical symbol at all!

Maybe it's just me, but I can't tell the difference between 2 & 3. My powers of observation are definitely lacking lol. I, too, like #1 but I can also see it on the side of a mobile herp vet.

I like number one the best, and I think a slightly darker grey outline around the snake would solve the issue of it getting "lost" against a white background, if possible. From far away, I can't tell what the logo is on 2 and 3 (up close I can!), but as soon as I see the first one, I can immediately tell it's a snake. It'll work out a lot better for expo banners and whatnot if you choose to use that logo for those things.

I don't think it looks terribly similar to the medical sign (I used to be an EMT, take it how you will). If it does, it may work out in your favor. What do people associate with the medical sign? Authority (of medical professionals), sterile conditions, mild adrenaline with association to emergencies, etc.

I had it redone without the loop and it was terrible, I wont even post it, it was that bad. I don't want to post it for the sake of his business and name. LOL.
