    Mike's 2013 Breeding Thread
I can't remember if I've posted any of this before but now that i've got some stuff going on and actually happening, I'm going to try and keep it to just this thread and update as I go along for anyone who cares to follow. This is my first year and I only have one pairing so there's not much to follow, but whatever haha.
First, the pairing is my fire male to my cinny female. Some pretty recent pics of them:
    http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/aty2yjyr.jpg
He's friendly (outside of the tub lol).
    http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/peve8u5a.jpg
    http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/4uja6aza.jpg
    http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/a6esyvy2.jpg

I get pulled over when she's in the car because the po-po wants some of her donuts:
    http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/bu4ate4e.jpg
    http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/aretadaz.jpg
    http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/yvube5et.jpg

Them locked, pretty sure i've posted these somewhere before.
    http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/mydure3u.jpg
    http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/na3usuqy.jpg

Now fast forward to 6/4, when she last shed. Since she shed on 6/4 she's been on the hot side more and laying inverted a lot.
    http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/apy9umys.jpg
    http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/a2yqymu9.jpg

This is her feed card that shows the dates of everything. She hasn't eaten since 3/25/13, she shed 4/8/13, then just shed again 6/4/13. I wrote down what I *thought* looked like glowing, but I'm not really sure since she's a pretty light cinny to begin with, and always looks nice after she sheds. I'd like to hear peoples thoughts as to whether they think her most recent shed is pre-ovy or pre-lay shed. I'm leaning towards pre-lay, but I'm just going off of guesstimations lol.

Thanks for reading, let me know what you guys think. Either way, I'm hoping for some eggs by the end of the summer!!! :D

EDIT: I forgot to add that a couple weeks before she shed on 6/4/13, she was hanging out on the cool side a lot more. She was outside of her hide during the day a few times on the cool side, which is unheard of for her. She's always hiding in her hide or at the back of the tub if its light out lol.

All I can say is that she must hate me. She went off feed on my birthday.

Good luck. Hope you'll get your eggs.
    She's a fine looking cinny.

I will be following as well! I love your cinnamon, she's a looker! Her pattern sounds a LOT like my girl who just ovulated today. My girl went off feed 3/28 and her last shed was 4/28. I'm hoping she'll do her pre-lay shed shortly. She's already dulling up. Seems like our girls are on the same pattern! They want to be clutch buddies!

Thats weird lol. I'm hoping for some 4th of july eggs! Or, since july 2nd is my step brother's birthday, i'd be happy with eggs then too!

Thanks for the compliments everyone. :)

Anyone else have any guesses as to whether shes in pre-ovy or pre-lay mode...?

If she glows she will go. You will know when she is glowing. She will look like a cinny ghost. I am going with prelay shed and you should notice her glowing around 2-3 weeks after this shed if I am right.

If I hit on a firemon female, i plan to hold her back. Otherwise, everything will most likely be up for grabs. The chances that i get that lucky are lowwww though haha.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

    Mike,
When cinnamons glow, its pretty obvious! This is my female glowing from last season, next to the male cinnamon sire.

Mike, agree with the glowing. Other telltale sign will be coiling on the warm side. I hope you hit it, the fire combo will be awesome and your Cinny is smoking. Btw I'm in the same boat, have six girls in the same place ... my season is unusually late. I'm a patient guy, but this is driving me nuts. Good luck buddy.

Not sure if it means anything, but my girl started glowing about 6 weeks before she ovulated.

I'm currently waiting on the second female to start glowing.

I'm thinking that was pre-ov shed, but I'm a newbie and a scrub so...

I also saw glows before ovy.

    Just an update-
Still haven't seen any glowing so I'm expecting eggs soon. She's been looking very uncomfortable and her tail has been towards the middle of the circle so I think those are both good signs. Also the "bulge" has definitely moved from mid body area towards her tail.

Hopefully i'll have some egg pics to post here soon! :)

5 healthy eggs weighing in at 504g. Not bad at all for her first clutch. She wasn't too bad to get off the pile. Very hissy and flicky, but took all of 5minutes. Can't wait until the beginning of september for some hatchlings! I'd honestly say the hardest part was waiting for her to lay. Waiting for them to hatch will be easy since I know pretty much when it'll happen. ;)

If we were in the same country I'd be requesting prices on offspring already.
And, then trying to figure out if I should pair that with a YB or a Mojave(I'm not a huge Mojave fan but that Cinny would kick it up to a whole new level) when it grows out.
Sadly, $800 for CITES(Still not sure why a farmed snake is still on the CITES list) to bring a BP's across the border means I either have to order alot of snakes at once or get in on a group order.

So, I'll content myself with a congratulations and, no small amount of envy.
