    Snake room in mid completion
Decided to invest in building an entirely new 12' x 24' snake room. Too much to handle inside the spare room at this time. Took half of my smallest 24' x 26' garage (yes I have another 30' x 60' garage you may see in some of these pics) and decided to build a nice snake room. Electric is done, plumbing is done except the drain. I am just waiting on my security system wiring and security cameras to get installed before I insulate and drywall. Hopefully security system work will be done in the next two weeks then I can drywall. My plan is to move all my bp racks out here by the end of July once paint has dried.

Three 20 amp circuits for racks and an oil radiant heater in the winter. Ten 20A outlets split in 2 circuits and separate lighting circuit that will run the heater in the winter as well as 10 brilliant white 17w (equivalent to 60w incadescent bulbs) lights inside.

Under sink- this will hold at least four 15qt tubs on each side once I install shelves:

Nice!!! Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to see more.

Are you a contractor, or did you contract it? There is some serious work going into this!

I had a few neighbors help with the framing. I worked with my uncle as a general contractor for years, so I enjoy doing the work myself. I figure it will be done for around $2K. Only $1200 in it now and most of that is in the 18ga stainless sink and fawcet.

    Wow! I'm jealous too!
Glad you're getting the security system too - in light of those snakes being stolen up in Pennsylvania not long ago.

Installing A/C tomorrow. I should have it completed in a month or so and move my collection when all my females have laid.

    Slight progress.....

8000 BTU A/C unit installed, inside ceiling and outside drywall are done. The rest is cake after I finish some minor wiring for my DVR.

Vent fan (no cover) is on a t-stat set to kick on at 90F. My last female is looking to ovy in the next few weeks and I hope to finish and move all racks after she lays eggs.

Security camera testing completed. I like the Night Vision (top two windows), but damn I'm getting bald!! Remote monitoring from my phone, tablet or any PC is nice. Time to finish the drywall :gj:

Way behind schedule but making progress. This was my QT room for Daytona pick-ups, so not much work was happening till everyone looked good for a while. All that is left is to drywall the walls inside and paint. I have all my unlikely breeders for this season, a hatchling rack and my Daytona pick-ups still in here. Amazingly even with temps in the 50's at night the room holds 70+F overight and that was only half insulated before today when insulation was completed.

    Should not be long now....

Hope to see the final result. :)

My boyfriend did a similar looking set up and room for his hydroponic room in the garage. I'm hoping he lets me take the rest of the garage for my reptiles some day :X
