Ripley's new duds. Major DUW

Ripley just shed, and she is SO pink! I wanted to get her out in the sun and get some macro shots to pick up her color. Well, it was overcast, and macro shots of a boa are a joke. So while I was going through the pictures I took, the sun came out. So we ran back outside for more pictures. So some of these are in the overcast yuck, some in the sun, some are macro. She is just gorgeous though.

This was one of my favorites, actually, even though it was overcast. This was macro.

I gotta say there is something peaceful about the overcast shots and I think they are better than you think. It's unreal how pink she is post shed. I've never thought about this, but does a colored morph like that even look bad before it sheds?? I know my boa and my son's Royal get dark and don't look as dazzling, but I have to think that that boa still looks HOT even pre-shed.

Thanks for the pics, now if you can just get that one and your albino Royal together in the same photo it would be like double banana coladas!!

She gets really pale and washed out pre shed. If the weather is nice later this week or next weekend I'll see what I can do. Not sure how well that will work out, lol. My albino ball is super shy and scaredy cat, and Ripley is all over the place.

I just thought of this. Next cloudy days shots like these, add a few well placed water droplets on or near the head. It will look like a blooming yellow flower after a rain.

Great shots, I like how mellow the overcast ones look, but that girl in the sun is really striking! :D How old is she? She looks to be just a bit behind my girl on her coral development, and mine was originally thought to be the "blandest" of her litter... haha, explains why the breeder is starting to regret not holding back the entire litter xD (I certainly can't blame him, if her siblings look even hotter, I wouldnt have wanted to sell any either).
