I like it when the sky is used as a background. She's such a nice bee.

Funny is that I hadn't planned that, but loved the way they all came out. She kept trying to stretch off the flower to me, so I got down and layed under her for some pictures. She kept peeking over, lol. And thank you!

That is seriously the most gorgeous Bee I've ever seen. Every picture was a serious work of art. I love your snakes, they are all so beautiful, top of the line specimens! :)

I am new to the site but all of the pics I have seen of your snakes are beautiful. I am sooo looking forward to getting my own bees here within the next breeding season or so. Love the look.

As always great pictures. Funny just when I was talking about how much I like "normal" coloring, you post these beauties. I'd love to see if you can get the albino boa and the albino BP out for a double show.

    Nice work here.

I have some messing around to do with my new camera to keep up LOL!

Thank you! I was thinking about getting my albino ball out for pics tonight. She gets so nervous tho. And my albino boa is in shed. I'll see what I can do in the future though. :)

No worries. Not in a rush, I just like to see the 2 species, especially in the colors next to one another.

Your pictures are something many of us should strive for. I've at least jumped up to a quality camera, but need to take a class on how to get the best out of it.

I still have your boa pic on my home screen which says a lot because typically I'm a "natural colors" type of guy.

    I love your pictures!!

Aww, thanks! And for the record I have zero professional training in photography. I just have a great camera and have always loved to take pictures. And sometimes, have animals that cooperate. I too need a photography lesson with my camera, I haven't even taken it out of auto yet...:p

What camera did you end up with? I like the clarity in all the images. A lot of that is based on a quality lens as well which seems to be a part of the package!

Canon Rebel t3i. That's one thing that has amazed me about all the pictures I take on it. They are so crisp, and clean, and the colors so distinct and vibrant. Blows any point and shoot I've ever had out of the water. Picture quality is amazing. :)

    NICE!!

I just picked up the Sony NEX 3N. Its a great camera and a step up from our point and shoot as well.

I have no clue how to use it yet.

Most reviews on the Sony are not of the NEX 3N the 3N is relatively new. Its similar to the NEX 5 just minus a few features that I don't want or need.

So far you have the knack of photography over me. You must be a natural LOL!

My mother in law and my grandma keep telling me I have an eye for photography. Just wait till I know how to use the potential of my camera! ;) Lol. But really, I have just always loved taking pictures. I have tons of photo albums, and have had many different point and shoots. This is my first dslr. And I should have got one long ago...

    You do take awesome pics!

I've thought about a dslr but i feel like it wouldn't be worth it for me since i wouldn't know how to use it lol. Also the convenience of my phone always being in my pocket doesn't help. ;)

    Thanks! :)

Put down your phone and get one! Look what kind of pictures you can take just in auto. And then when you see all the great pics you get, you will want to take more. :p

    Mike,

you would be prime for one of the Sony NEX cameras. VERY small mirrorless camera. Have a look at them and the size. Quality is similar to some DSLRs but obviously you can get DSLR cameras that are several $$.

Might be worth a look. I can PM you some of my basic shots or check the boa forum I have a few of my first ever shots there. I'm still in "idiot auto" mode too!

If i get a camera i'd want it to be bigger and chunkier. I use my phone but that sits easily in my hands and i have a case for it. If im going commando like doolittle to take pics, i'd need something i could get a firm grip on lol.

3skulls mentioned in another thread getting an older body but buying a newer lens, to save money. I'd have to look into that more too.

Its so much more convenient to take pics with the phone and just be able to share them right away lol.

Yes older body for cheap and then really sink $$ into a lens! Actually a great idea. Optics really can rule if you have a remotely decent sensor!

But I'm far from and expert LOL!

I think Doolittle has superior optics just by looking at our macro shots. I'll try to get a great one and see how it compares, but Canon has typically nice optics. I'm new to Sony. The true Pro lenses are really expensive but they are awesome!
