    New phone time.
Alright so I think tomorrow is time for a new phone! I can't wait I hope it's true lol. I'm hoping to run away from iPhones if I can so. I'm looking at the galaxy, what's the difference between the S3 and S4 that you guys can tell? An is the note 1 or 2 better? I use my phone for more Internet stuff, forums, Facebook, music, vids, sports. I guess I use it for everything but actually calling people lol so just wondering what people's thoughts are on those phones or any other I should look into you think. Btw I'm extremely hard on phones had this iPhone for maybe a year now and it's had full screen and back plate replaced three times an needs it again which is why getting a new one.

I'm not sure which provider you have, but if it's Verizon you need to make sure to see if you're grandfathered in with unlimited data. About a year ago Verizon did away with unlimited data, so now if you're grandfathered in with unlimited data and you want to upgrade to get the cheap price of a phone by agreeing to a 2 year contract, you have to switch your plan which means you no longer have unlimited data.

Since I learned that I made it a point to use as much data as possible, so I use on average about 15GB data monthly. I think it's crap that they force you off your plan and they try to say it's to save you money, but it's a load of crap because the plan ends up costing you more if you use 4GB or more a month.

I'm leaning to s4 I can get hundred off for turning in my iPhone if I do it in time they said. So if that's the case it would be 100 dollars for the s4. An from what I've been looking at it seems to be the one to go, well Htc one is up there but I like the s4 little better so thinking and hoping by tomorrow ill have one.

I have the Galaxy SII; before the iPhone 5 came out people kept asking me "omg is that the new iPhone?!?!?!" My SII outperforms the iPhone by far in my opinion. My friend just got an SIII and it's even better.

Honestly Samsung phones are just fantastic, and they really crushed it with the Galaxy series. Best phones out there, imo. :gj:

I have the SII as well and I love it. Been a solid phone, never had any issues with it. I just wish I would have waited 3 months, before getting the SII I could have had an SIII lol.

Wow, I didn't realize the specs of the S4 were that nice. When I got my Rezound new last year or maybe going on two years ago, it was 1.5 Dual Core. I still miss my Blackberry Storm 2 though. Then I was looking at the new HTC's and I seen the HTC DNA was a 1.5 Quad Core, then just realizing the S4 had the 1.9 Quad Core. My only grip is that I don't like the new OS's, the ICS & Jelly Bean. I honestly prefer the Gingerbread, though I'm biased because it's what I use so I like the layout more then briefly using the other phones.

You might look at Best Buy before you go to your provider store.
We have Sprint, I love their cell service and out unlimited plan BUT taking care of their customers SUCKS!!!!
(Why should I have to pay more for an upgrade after 10+ years of contracts while some new contract joe blow gets the same phone for free?)
Best Buy does "one simple price" thing, with an upgrade or new service. My wife and I got our S3s for $100.

Also if you are that hard on phones you might look into their insurance too. I don't know how att does it but sprint either repairs your phone or replaces it with a refurb unless you want to spend $100 deductible to get a new one. I paid $7 a month per phone for that joke. Best Buy is $8 a phone but if you break you phone all you have to do is take it to the store and they give you a new one on the spot. The only thing I didn't like was they charge your credit card monthly for the insurance.

I think AT&T & Verizon both use Asurion, which I believe it was $50 deductible now it's $100 I think. I had it for my Blackberry Storm 2 years ago, and when I paid the money to get a replacement they sent me a phone that was refurbished which I was not happy about because I had a new phone, so I wanted a new replacement. Well the first refurb they sent me the speaker was messed up and would distort, so I called them got another sent out, this time the screen was touch-click like a mouse, and it was very hard to press, so again I phoned them and got another sent out. Then when this phone came in, I was like blah I don't want to notice another flaw, so I just said something was wrong with it then by law after 3 refurbs, they have to send you a new one, so I got my new phone and dropped the plan. I refuse to get insurance after this.

How does battery life compare between the iPhone and the S4? I have the iPhone 4 and the battery life is pretty good. It looks like it is almost time for a new phone and I have heard some very mixed reviews on the iPhone 5, so I am considering the switch.

I don't hate the s3 like so many people hate the iphone. A lot of times the reasons people hate the iphone are stuff i like lol. Like the most basic thing: screen size. I do not want a huge phone, idk how people do it with 5 and 6 inch screens. But they hate on the iphone bc the screen is smaller. Well, thats one of the reasons i like it lol. The colors/ images on my iphone are a lot sharper than on the s3. The iphones camera is also definitely better. I'm talking from personal experience since i tried out the s3 for a couple weeks too. Im not basing my opinion off of something you read online.

This whole debate is just like being a pats fan lol.

    "The patriots suck!"
"Oh, why do you say that?"
    "Tom Brady sucks!"
"Oh ok... Um, well tom is one of the reasons i like the patriots..."

    Lol

I've got the HTC 1 and I love it. I put it up side by side with my fiancee's brothers S4 and the HTC was way better in my opinion. Much clearer picture too.

From what I've seen the big difference betweent he S3 and S4 (aside from hardware) is that they shoved a bunch of gimmicky crud into the S4. I would personally go with the S3.

I also shy away from iLoJack (because they do datamine location) devices. The iTunes TOS keeps me up at night (You don't own or have rights to anything you have bought) and I also don't hate developers.
