WE CLOSED ON MY HOUSE TODAY! OK, sorry about the all caps. :)

Anyway, I am having the cable cut off here as of tomorrow morning and won't have it at the new house until Wednesday of next week. I am taking off of work for the next two days to paint the new house, so unless I sneak by the office over the weekend (not likely, as I'll be moving), I will be offline until I'm at work Monday morning once I sign off for the night tonight. I hope y'all have a faublous weekend and that things are peaceful around here.

Congrats Marla, and good luck with the move. I just finished moving a few weeks ago and it took so much out of me. Don't worry, we'll hold down the fort!

Thanks y'all! You are very sweet. It has been a rough week (long story, think Amityville Horror), and I am looking forward to being moved and getting set up in a new house where I can sleep on a bed (my bedroom is unusable at the moment). I think the painting will be kind of fun, like making it really mine (even though it will be long, hot work).

Hey, I waited up, where were you guys? ;) It's been quite an adventure and it's not quite over yet, but we and almost all the critters are in the new house. I actually took the reptiles over Saturday and set them up in the basement and then on the last trip last night each girl had one og and one at to keep track of in the car (dog and cat and frog and rat -- kids figured out the ogs and ats thing), and we still have to move the fishtank. Despite there still being stuff to get done at the old house, all the furniture and folks have been moved and I was able to take a hot shower, put on clean clothes, and brush my teeth this morning, so it can't be too bad. :)

Welcome back Marla! :D Glad to hear things are going well. "Og and at"....that's funny! Wish I could be there to help...I surely do know what a pain moving is!

    welcome back Marla!
Moving is sometimes the hardest part, ecspecially when there is animals involved. But remember once you get everything there, you get to decorate!!! That's my favorite part.
    Well, welcome back.

Judy, I enjoyed the "og and at" thing as well -- some things it just takes a kid to think up, ya know? I am glad to be back here, though to be honest, I really wish I'd taken today off from work as well because I am exhausted.

Rusty, the biggest part of the decorating is painting, and that's about halfway done -- it would be more, but I hated the first paint color for my room once I got it on the wall, so I started over. The setting up and decorating is definitely stuff I can handle, getting the house personalized for us should be kinda fun. I'm mostly looking forward to being completely done at the old house and being done painting the bedrooms in the new house so we won't all be sleeping in the living room anymore! At least the new house has a full basement, so that's where nearly everything got put so that it was out of the way, and we can find and bring things up as we need them.
