Brand of Racks for Ball Pythons?
I currently own several Animal Plastic racks and one rack from C Serpents Racks and Reptiles. What is everyone's opinion on their favorite type of rack? I love my AP racks but they are bulky and expensive to ship. I love my V18 rack from C Serpents and will be getting several more in the future.

I have an older AP rack with heat cable and a RBI sweaterbox rack. I like both of them! :gj:

How do the RBI compare in price to any of the other brands?

I use Boaphile Ballroom racks. I just bought my fourth one. It took 5 weeks. They have 2 rows of 4in Flexwatt. They have 4 levels instead of the 3 for other similarly sized racks. I've been really happy with them.

I have 5 CSerpents racks and I am totally pleased with them. Well made and hold heat good, plus Chris is one of the nicest guys i've met in the reptile world. If you don't have one or haven't heard of them, give them a shot. Very good product. :gj:

We have three racks....my husband has two animal plastic racks, which are pretty versatile, which I love about that. However, my fave rack is still the custom made black pvc rack that buddy of mine had a friend of his make. I love the size, the way it looks, and the way it keeps perfect heat and humidity. He had two of these racks, 14 tubs apiece. He shrunk his collection and sold me the extra rack. After building my own racks outta melamine in the past and later switching to pvc, Ill never go back to melamine again.

Mainly because we are working out of our spare bedroom. If it wasn't for my husband, I would not be able to move them around. They are just really hard to move once they are all put together. I mean, I understand that there is no way to make them any less heavy but for the space I have to work with, I wish that maybe I would have chose a different style or go the economy rack way. Occasionally we have had some ASF hoppers get loose and they get trapped under there. It is a nightmare moving the racks to get to them or moving them for any reason actually. Since we have carpet for flooring, its not like I could put them on rollers to help either.

I like my Animal Plastics racks. I have mine on carpet as well and the casters make a big difference if you ever need to move them; well worth the $20 or $30 bucks extra to have them installed when I bought the racks. And a dog does wonders for ASF escapees, rack or no, lol! :gj:

Amen to the dog. We have a Doberman and boy does she let us know when something is not right. She has caught several for us that have ventured out of the snake room.

I love my ARS and I don't know if it's from the tubs being darker or what but my occasionally fussy eaters all eat better in it. Love the way they slide and don't get hung up or are too tight as well.

I have Animal plastics, C-Serpents and RBI as well and they all work well for less money. Still tough to beat the ARS though. :gj:

I've used racks by Vision, Freedom Breeder, Boaphile, Monster-cages, and Animal Plastics. I prefer the Animal plastics racks for my adults and vision for my hatchlings.
