I found this at a site I go to. Is that a dog or a rabbit?
-
I don't know. I can't see the image.
-
Big rabbit, I think from the tail.
-
Yup...I'd say rabbit. A big one. And that's one sweet looking python, too.

Right-click the broken image, select properties, copy the address, and paste it in the address box of a new window. :)
-
Four rabbits feet, and still no luck!!!!!

.
Marla, you're a genius.
Godfather, I can definitely see why you would wonder if that was a dog. It just doesn't have the hind legs you would expect to see on a rabbit.
-
LOL, Smynx. Yeah, it was the tail that said rabbit to me.
-
Doe, a dear!
It seems to have hooved feet, we belive it to be a small deer, maybe the Florida Reds?
Thats my best guess,
Rusty
-
Its a goat! No I'm just kidding, but it really dosn't look like a rabbit to me. But I wouldn't know would I?
-
I wonder if there's a larger version of the pic available somewhere? It's definitely not a dog, though.
-
I guess we are guessing the food item now instead of the Herp  I say baby goat. A rabbit does not have hooves and the back legs look way too short to be that of a bunny.
-
STEVE IRWIN in Sri Lanka!
i might have poor eye sight for the time being but that looks like a dog man.
-
Judging by the hooves, tail, and coat, I'd say it's a real young fawn. (I'm canadian...we know these things :P)
-
-
goat or deer
Either way all in all, it was dinner
Rusty
-
yeah it be some kind of deer type animal by those feet would be my guess. :)
Was this in the US or overseas?
-
The tail and hooves definitely say fawn to me (I'm from Western NY--which borders Ontario, Canada, so we know these things too!! :D )
-
KANGAROOOOOOOOOOO! haha, not, but thats what i first thought.
-
I originally thought rabbit... but I'm gonna say young goat. Not a dog though, the feet and legs aren't the right shape and the muscle tone is off IMO .
-
Looks like a goat...I think the color of the critter is a bit off for a deer though even for a red deer, and red deer from what I have seen have white bellies.. but I am probably wrong...
-
lol quente, a kangaroo? come on man...
-
The description on the website said it was a dog. That's what made me originally think that.
-
It is not a rabbit for sure. Rabbits have those big hopping back feet, this does not. As for a deer, I have never seen a deer that color in all my life, unless it is an exotic. As for hoofs, I realy cant tell that those are hoofs, usualy hoofs are more pronounced i.e. several inches of a hard black hoof sticking out from the fur. My family raises spanish goats in Texas where I grew up around them all my life so I realy would have to say it is quite possibly a dog, but just an edjucated guess is all...

Me too!
I think it's a bit too reddish to be a deer. If it were a fawn, it'd have light spots on it. Maybe it is a dog? It's hard to see the feet.
-
Godfather, if you don't mind me asking; what site was that on? It seems like it'd be an interesting site.
-
I think its a dog, now that I look at it again.
-
I've examinded the larger pic, I'll link anyone who wants to see it. They are not hoofs. They are paws. rules out those possibilities. I looked up some rabbit pics and there is no way it is a rabbit, they legs aren't right and you'd see the ears if it were. The tail could easily be a dog tail. You don't see the whole thing, and the underside of a dog's tail typically does look fluffy.....

You might be right about the color, but some fawns don't have those white spots. Eh, maybe it is a dog....

That burm is huge, but so is the fawn or whatever it is. Anyone think that snake actually got that down???
-
Probably he did, on the special "The Big Sqeeze" on Animal Planet they showed an African Rock Python eating a gazelle I think or another large deer like Herbivore.

You ready for a snake that big, Smulkin???
-
Its a rabbit, goats have a narrow tapper at the base of their tails
Also look at the hind legs, the hip joint is low and to the extreme rear.
See ya Bug`s ;)

I think it's a small, wingless hippogriff.

-
Rabbit... A dog's skeleton is much different. the forelimbs and rear limbs are just not proportioned right for a dog. Knees and hocks in the wrong places. Dogs have straighter forelimbs anyway... Unless it's a Bassett Hound, Dachshund or Bulldog.

Its all about scale in that pic. That snake might not be 15 feet, he/she may only be 5 feet. So a rabbit would make sense. If that is a rabbit, its a pretty darn big rabbit.
-
rat of the futer ? lol, looks like a cow to me maybe it could be a deer or though, whats that site you got the pic from godfather please ?
-
whatever it is, it looks like a pretty big meal for that burm.
-
rex shedding
O.k. had to throw in my $.02 not sure where this pic is from but just looking at the pic maybe a capabara.
-
Hmm, that would make sense. It does look similar to a capybara, except from all the pics I've seen of one, they don't seem to have the tail that you see to the far right of that burm pic.
