Super stoked! Cut my first clutch of the season today!

Long story short, I took a risk and bought a "poor breeder" male cinny in October. He was a terrible breeder so I tried every trick in the book including putting a male pastel in with him. Then one day I catch this 'male' cinny ovulating....guess that's why 'he' was a poor breeder. Fast forward to today, I cut the eggs and this is what I find!!!! So glad I took a risk on this poor breeder!

Sweet now you got a new breeder girl and hopefully that pewter is the boy you wanted in the first place with the bonus of having some pastel in the mix.

It was day 54 last night. I typically cut on day 52 unless I'm busy.

No kidding! I'm so glad I did! I think I only put the male pastel in with her twice, so I'm super lucky!

Ugh, as my sister said when I text her "this sounds more like your luck"....

I came home to find the pewter trying to escape from his egg with his umbilical cord twisted around him. I didn't get a picture because I panicked a bit. I had to take him out of the egg to get him untangled. It looks like he will still be able to absorb the yoke. Is there anything else I should be doing besides putting him in that deli cup?

I was so upset when I saw him all tangled up. He fully absorbed his yolk as of tonight so he's good, thank heavens! I'll tell them to hurry, I think tomorrow is the day though! I'll get pictures up as soon as the are out!
