How does my Spotnose look?
So we bought this Spotnose last week and have fallen in love with her. We were curious though if we choose to breed her in the future (she is obviously still to little now) is her pattern nice enough to produce good babies?

Re: How does my Spotnose look?
I personally don't like the color. Not bright enough. I wouldn't breed her
Re: How does my Spotnose look?
I would be interested in getting some more opinions, whether they're good or bad!

How does my Spotnose look?
What would you pair her with? Shes an average looking spotnose imo. She doesn't have a really prominent headstamp and isnt super bright.

Haven't thought too much into what she would be paired with, but average is better then a poor example.:D

I would say shes like a 6/10. I havent seen a ton of hot spotnoses though.

I'd give her a chance to get some size on her, and then see what morph seems like a good fit. :)

My pairing would be Leopard spotnose

So you think she is breeder worthy in the future?

I guess I just got more curious about her breeding potential after reading this. I felt like she was breeder worthy and this got me wondering if she was a poor example. Thanks everyone! Keep them coming!

This unfortunately leads to a morph-specific market flooded with less than stellar specimens, which in turn diminishes the value of the morph

This seems to be with the assumption that just any normal female gets used. Even normals should be hand picked for whatever qualities will enhance the breeding project (pattern, color, etc...).
The OP Spotnose is average at best. It does not pass my general test for potential breeders of:
1. Is the NO DOUBT at first, cursory glance that it is the morph
2. Is it near the realm of the most awesome example I have seen
The OP snake will not IMO lend the most important thing a Spotnose lends a lot of combos, COLOR
IMO for a Spotnose, high color is most important followed closely by pattern, head stamp then well spots on the nose.
Daybreaker's on the other hans, has ALL of these qualities and is IMO a A example of the morph.
Spotnoses are very undervalued, so much so that there really is no excuse not to hold out for a perfect example to add to a breeding project.

Very detailed answer, great points as well.
