I love their conditioners. I have a lot of random allergies/sensitivities so its hard to find products I can use in most stores, but I can use pretty much everything Lush sells.. Their 'Happy Happy Joy Joy' conditioner actually smells like real flowers, not fake 'perfume-y' floral like most conditioner. Also their massage bars are fantastic.

Oh gosh, I totally do. I can't let myself go in there or I'll come out with a ton of crap!

Let's see...I do like their shampoo/conditioner bars. They're the best for travel because they last ages and don't take up much room at all. I have a bunch of the soaps too. I have a big stockpile of Snowcake from the holidays, it's one of my faves :D

There stuff is too expensive IMO. Have better things to spend my money on than lotions and hair conditioner.

Strangely enough, stuff like perfume oils and soaps and stuff was probably my last big vice/money sink before I got back into reptiles. My collection of http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com/ stuff ranges well into the hundreds. I've actually considered selling off a bunch of it to fund reptile projects...

No idea what LUSH is either - is it like Bath and Body Works?

It's kind of like bath and body but most of it is all natural kind of stuff.

But yeah, shampoos and conditioners, lotions, soaps, etc.

I don't shop at LUSH because they're against keeping any reptile or exotic animal as a pet/in captivity.

I just won't support a company that is spreading false information to keep people from owning what THEY think are not "appropriate" pets. It's unfortunate because I hear they've got great products.

    Good to know.

An old coworker told me some of their hair treatments were awesome but when I went to check it out I felt the prices were ridiculous.

I'll stick to my crappy shampoo and conditioner lol

I love their tea tree oil spray and the massage bar with the beans in it- though I can't for my life remember what it's called. I knew they were against animal testing and a lot of products were vegan (is that the right term? Some products have honey in them but I'm not sure where that lies on the vegetarian-vegan spectrum). I didn't know about their stance on keeping exotics though. That's definitely a bummer.

I don't think I'd immediately swear them off as a company, but it's enough to prompt me to look for other sources of tea tree oil. Maybe I'll even find some that ends up being cheaper or easier to get rather than driving all the way up to the King of Prussia mall.

I really like LUSH. I really like any and all of the bath bombs or shower bombs... I REALLY like the Lady Godiva shampoo/conditioner bar, and I bought this exfoliator stuff for your lips that tastes like mint and chocolate.. I bought it over a year ago and I still have nearly a full container, and I use the stuff at least twice a week lol.
They got rid of my most local LUSH "dealer".... which really grinds me, because I loved browsing through thier products and BSing with the workers.... there isn't a comprable store to LUSH around my area... if I wanted thier products I'd have to drive into the city, which just isn't going to happen...
the only time I'm in the city is for concerts or to go to a reptile show. lol.

    xFenrir,
It's good to know about that. I never knew LUSH was against owning snakes or exotic pets, until today.
Gee that really goes against me! Cuz my dreams and aspirations include owning many snakes of different species and breeding and selling them, and owning a cheetah..... or two (if I had the money)

They advertise as a vegetarian-vegan company (which doesn't make sense to me; vegans are more strict than vegetarians and don't even eat/use animal by-products like honey, so LUSH doesn't seem very "vegan" to me).

What gets me are the statements they make that every animal in captivity is suffering and wanting to be back in the wild. Which I've heard this argument before and honestly, it makes no sense. They don't HAVE any memory of "the wild" if they were born in captivity; as far as they know, that IS the wild. They require the same HUSBANDRY as their wild counterparts, but saying that they pine away every day for freedom is just us humans anthropomorphising them.

This was what got me though: "Life for many captive reptiles is unimaginable. In terms of their need for sufficient space and a varied diet it is akin to spending the rest of your life in a toilet cubicle and having the same meal, every mealtime, pushed under the door.

"Given the complex biological needs of these animals, life for the average pet reptile is most probably far worse than this."

Leonie Davies, Lush's campaigns manager, said: "The trade in reptiles is clearly out of control and countless animals are living short, miserable lives as a result. We hope that by raising the profile of this important issue through our network of stores we can lessen the demand for reptiles as pets."

I understand that they really think they're doing something nice and good for animals, but they're not using facts. They're using opinions. While there ARE bad keepers out there, but there are tons of reptiles kept correctly that thrive and do wonderfully.

Nope. It makes me sick, dizzy, and headache-y to even walk past the vicinity of a LUSH store!
