    Opinions needed
There is a reptile expo coming may 11th to the area, and I'd really like to pick up either 1.1 or 2.0 ball pythons. Eventually I do want to breed. I'm just not really sure what morphs to be looking at for this show. If I see anything I really like I will probably get it, but I also want to be on the lookout for a male that will complement my collection. Lets put the spending cap at $700.

    I have:
    female normal
    female lesser
    female bumblebee
    female spider

and a male mojave which is POSSIBLY a female

I look at World of BPs and go through the morph list to see what I want to make eventually and what I will need to make those. I compare what I need to what I have and go from there: I don't think you can go wrong with picking up a 2-3 gene male and maybe a single gene female at the show depending on prices.

On a note: I got two sick snakes from the same vendor at the last expo I went to that involved some expensive vet care. Make sure you buy from good sources at the expo (maybe research the vendor list on the BOI beforehand) and closely inspect any snakes you'll buy. Know that mites or RIs or other illnesses can be risk with expo animals. I think I just got unlucky with my two since I've gotten many others that turned out just fine!

I think it depends on what you like, but I would definitely go with the 1.1.

A 2-3 gene male would be great, but getting a 3 gene male AND a female might be a bit too much on that budget.

I would personally go for a kingpin male (lesser x pinstripe) or a Enchi or Fire combo and a fire or enchi female.

Good quality Fire/Enchi are HOT :)

Yeah I've gotten 4 snakes from the expos around here (2 boas and 2 balls) and so far have had very good experiences with them. I got my sulcata tortoise from an expo and that breeder was a jerk and I'll never buy from them again. Animals will definitely be quarantined.
I've also been checking out world of BPs and so far have been looking at basic morphs and researching the market and I think I'll definitely be able to afford a 2-3 gene male. I'm just wondering what other peoples opinions are.
Oh and I'm not looking to get into recessive genes any time soon.

As far as single genes I'm thinking along the lines of cinnamon, pinstripe, enchi (and still looking)

Fire! I knew there was a good basic morph I was forgetting. The GF is thinking definitely an enchi (and I'm very picky with those). I'll bring up fire to her as well.
Kingpins are nice but I am loving the jigsaws!
right now I have 1.4 ball pythons, possibly 0.5 (the male I have isn't confirmed). Going to have the confirmed this week. If it turns out I have 0.5 I will be picking up 2 males. If it's 1.4 I will pick up 1 female and 1 male.

I think a male JIGSAW(Mojave X Pinstripe) would make a great stud for those ladies.

I'm definitely considering a jigsaw. I love the look of them and they have 2 genes that are useful and good looking. If the price is right I may get one

for 700 dollars, i would say get just one male. with the females you have, your collection will work very well if you add a multi-gene male. for future breeding a nice multi-gene male that you then breed to 3 or 4 females makes a huge difference.

it should have pinstripe or enchi in it. Both are awesome codom genes that work together with everything you have so far. Many possibilities, but try to get at least one of these genes, so get maybe a jigsaw or enchi mojave or lemonblast, or enchi fire, or something with 3 genes.

I'm with Kurt on this one. You could also get a superblast, if you are willing to raise your budget just a little more.

I'm definitely down for getting a multi gene male, but somehow I gotta convince the girlfriend that it's okay to spend that much money on one snake...haha.
I'm really digging the jigsaw, and I know my gf likes enchi and fire combos. I'll see about raising my budget because I would really like to get an amazing quality, multi-gene male.
Enchi mojaves are really nice looking snakes. I think I want something that looks different from my current collection and I think my heart is settling on a jigsaw.

The show I'm going to is the smaller one of the shows that come yearly. And I don't want to settle on anything low quality, but I really do hope I find what I'm looking for there!

    Royal Hijinx
    FIRE YELLOWBELLY male

Super powerful to have in a collection and will improve everything he touches. This year $700 should be in the ballpark.

Plus is they look awesome as well. Here is a crappy phone pic of mine.

My second choice for your girls would be a nice PASTEL CALICO.

Those two morphs would be at the top of my list at that budget and with what you have already.

2 gene males are great to have. Or get a super form male. Can't go wrong with those! Good luck with what you decide to get!
