    2013 ChrisS field herping thread
I'm really looking forward to this season of field herping, so I thought I'd create a thread for photos of my finds this year.
Not too many yet but here is a start
    http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/04/29/y5uqezy5.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/04/29/yhebe9e8.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/04/29/etydaseh.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/04/29/ypa5y6e3.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/04/29/ygemy4y8.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/04/29/6arymu7e.jpg

The garter was not actually found by me, but a friend. But it's the first snake I know of found in my area so still pretty exciting.

That's cool! My daughter and I went for a walk yesterday and all we saw was a rabbit.

Snake 1 is a brown snake and snake 2 is a worm snake.
Those millipedes are all over my parents backyard but I've never found them anywhere else in the area.

All I've seen is a green tree frog.

But I've got loads of the giant millipede things here too. They're weird. I also spotted the yearly swarm of southern lubber grasshoppers a week or so ago. Just an inch long right now. I see dozens about this time of year, then I'll spot one or two adults later in the summer. In between? No idea.

Thanks man! That's only the 2nd canebrake I've ever found. But a good friend of mine has already found 15 this year in the same area I found this one, so I'm hoping I find at least a couple more this season. You don't have any copperheads where you are?

When my ex and I split I couldn't afford my rent so I had to move to my parents. So for right now my life exists in an 8'x8' room. Lol so quite honestly I have no room for much of anything.

Pics are great, keep 'em coming. :)

One of my neighbors told me there are copperheads by the creek behind my apartment, I'll have to go hiking one day and see what I can find. Doubt I'll see more than fish or cranes though.

All very nice pictures and I have a question.

The spider in your first post that has the red back, what kind of spider is that?
