Post Pics of Your Ride!
Seems like people have been talking about driving and parking a lot around here. Just curious what you're doing it in! (The parking and driving that is).
I had an '02 chevy blazer but traded it in towards my '05 impreza i have now. I miss my blazer but i love the gas mileage of the impreza. The last two tanks i got 28mpg and 31mpg. Once i finish school I'm hoping to get a bigger vehicle again. (Pyrite mica tacoma or tundra!!! :please: :D)
Heres my impreza:

I'm not a car guy really, I still like them though. Just wanna see what people drive. Post some pics!

I remember when you made the post about getting the fr-s, thats a sweet ride!
I'm not a fan of red for a car color though. If i had my choice i wouldn't have picked it for my impreza.

I like red okay...which is good because when I bought it there were no others within about 1000 miles that had a manual trans...:)

How did you like the fj? I think theyre neat but it looks like they dont have a lot of cargo space. Also, ive heard people complain about bad blind spots.

Loved the FJ...replaced it a while ago with a RAV-4...
Cargo space was pretty good...passenger room in the back seats was not good. Very cave-like. Blind spots weren't bad, just had to get the mirrors adjusted right.
It was a beast off-road...would love to get another one if gas prices ever go down...

Re: Post Pics of Your Ride!
Until recently I drove this. Then I had a little icy road mishap. (This photo is post said mishap)

This is not what I had in mind when I told my boyfriend I'd like another Cadillac. I should have been more specific. Oh well, I'm sure I'll (never) be able to laugh about it one day. It's not front and center (I try to keep it out of pictures), but you get the idea.

Mike, I'm sorry I made fun of your Subaru.

RX-8 is a fun ride; any car that happily revs to 9K is ok by me. :)
My '02 A4 1.8T (sorry, this was taken with my old cell phone, and I don't have any better pics):

Many are the things I'd like to have done to it but don't have the budget for, so it's almost completely stock. Ideally, I'd be running a Motoza tune on a Frankenturbo F21 and bigger injectors with a FMIC or a euro DSMIC setup, some nicer wheels, a lower suspension, and maybe water/methanol injection. All that stuff costs, though, and there are too many other things ahead of it in line for my money, so I'll be lucky if I end up simply running a stage 1 or 1+ tune somewhere on the "eventually" timescale.

Lol, haven't been pulled over yet *knocks on wood* and have owned it since '08. I'm an old lady, I don't speed ;) The frontier nismo is the hubby's truck :) :gj:

My boss is like 65 or something and she drives one, that's why I associate them with old ladies.
I didn't know about the lesbian association, but I learned early after joining that Doolittle knows her stuff, so if she says it....

'05 Ford standard trans GT stang: Saleen supercharged, full exhaust, with cosmetic and other performance/misc. mods.
There's still a lot I want to do and fix on him but it's been a money thing. Eventually I'll get around to "completing" him.
And the body kit and stripe job was all prepped and painted by myself (done right: none of that rattle can crap) when I was going to school to get into auto body repair and custom painting :gj: It makes my car a little more special to me; I definitely don't see myself selling him. I'd love a '65 fastback and Dodge SRT10 one day too (dreaming).

That's so cool! I'd love to go to school for something like that and the actual mechanic aspect. I don't want to do it as a profession, I'd just like to learn so I know. I love customizing things on my car, I just don't know how to do a lot. I redid my headliner and pillars and I'm proud of how it turned out, but that was easy.

It was really fun and I'm happy I got into it but I found out it wasn't the career path I wanted to go so I finished school for something else. I'm not sure what programs are down in Phx but up here we have a good Auto Body Paint and Collision Repair certificate program :gj:

Nice rides!
Here's my girl, Betsy. She used to be beige/khaki. My husband did a total body paint job in gloss black. :) 2003 Jeep Wrangler Sport (TJ, to Jeep peeps.) 2 inch lift and lifted seats!
We took her on the beach last year. So fun.

This is my husband, working on painting her in 2011. Our buddy had a nice auto-painting setup for us to use. It was quite a project!

Stripped down for painting!

This is her before painting, in 2010. What a change, huh!

This is really the most fun vehicle I have ever had. I truly do plan to drive it for the rest of my life, and fix things as they are needed. She's paid off, and was my first big purchase.. so nice to have a ride that is paid off!

And I figure that you guys will get a laugh out of this.. my husband enjoyed my Jeep so much, that he traded in his pickup for one. We now have matching vehicles. Well, his is a little more beefed up, and is an '06 Rubicon. lol

I helped him to weld the bumper!

Yes ma'am! She was parked on the side of the house the day y'all came over. She's got a good bit of sun damage now (thanks to the Florida sun + a crappy clear coat job). We'll be paying her off in July, and probably selling her shortly thereafter.

Re: Post Pics of Your Ride!
For nice days: 1969 Mustang convertible. We pulled it out of a barn two years ago from the estate of the original owner, had to replace the engine, steering components, brakes and lines, exhaust, etc. Looking at doing the body next winter.
http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r...Picture003.jpg
For not so nice days it's the 1984 M1009 CUCV. It has an anemic 6.2 liter diesel and gawd-awful low gearing, but it'll go anywhere I need it to.
