    Im so lame, I cried!
I was checking on everyone tonight and noticed my girl was coiled funny. Lifted her up and omg..

    6 eggs and I'm assuming 2 slugs?!

I can't candle as I don't have a flashlight. Into the bator they go!

I wasn't expecting eggs so soon as I was still waiting for a prelay shed! But Omg omg.

It's a who's your daddy clutch, with one of the sires was my first snake, Boo, who just recently passed away. The other sire a bee.

Thanks you guys! She was super easy to remove off them. I was expecting to get bit but all she did was hiss at me (she's never done so before).

My first year, I used a towel to remove the mothers from the eggs. People had me convinced that the mother on eggs was a demon just waiting to strike at anything near. Now, I don't even think about it. Haven't been struck at yet removing the mom.

Congratulations on the clutch. Hope the wait doesn't seem too long for you.

Congrats! I'm still deciding on what emotion and action I'll display when I find her on eggs. I may go with a simple fist pump or try a back flip. :D

Congrats! My first reaction was just pure excitement. Not quite as bad as when I jumped up with a fist pump and yelled "yes!" during the sonogram of my second child (found out he was a boy), but excited none the less!

Funny story. I read this thread this morning. Went to go check on my girls before class and I noticed by big normal girl laying the EXACT SAME WAY. I got both giddy and concerned that I missed an ovy, she was still locking, etc. So I gently lifted her and...No eggs :(

Also it looks like you used a cell phone to take those pics, yes?

If so, the LED light works the best for candling :P

If you cried when you found the eggs, you're going to have to be sedated when they start hatching!

Congrats - Is always a nice feeling to find a pile of goodies like those :)

    Thanks you guys!

And yeah, Squamish I'll need to get an LED light to check them out. I was more concerned about getting them in the bator.

And YES I seriously cried. I cry a lot. I cried the first time my mouse had babies. And yes, I might need to be sedated when they begin to pip!

Mike she totally was. But I missed Ovy, and thought her prelay shed was just a normal shed so when I picked her up and found eggs I just about died!

    Congratulations!!!

As a celebration, here are a few of my favorite quotes related to eggs from the "You might be a ball python keeper thread! :

When your expecting female ball python has you more freaked out than you were when you had your own kids.

When you see that magical first clutch of eggs, and you spend the whole day smiling so hard your face hurts.

You firmly believe the 60 days required for a ball python egg to hatch is at least twice as long as the 9 months you carried your own baby.

When wondering what that little head peeking out of the egg is attached to is more important that it was to ask the doctor, " Boy or Girl?" when your baby was born.

We all go through it sweetie!

I don't have kids but I think this is way more nerve wracking then pregnancy!

Everyone in my house is super excited and harassing me with questions. Even my grandpa, who doesn't really like snakes, is excited.

Then he was going on about how long chicken eggs take to hatch and yeah...

They really do get that 'flat tire' look. It'll take quite some time before they start looking completely normal again.

I have a feeling this will happen at my own house whenever my girls decide to lay. My grandfather DOES NOT approve of my snake keeping and makes sure I know it every moment of every day. I'm sure he'll be the first one wanting to look at the babies.
