Picked this lovely lady up today

I was told that she is a pastel morph(please correct me if this is wrong) she's about 4 years old and my first snake. I've spent a good amount of time lurking around on here learning before I picked her up and wanted to share a photo. I'll take more and better ones once she's settled down and eating.

Thanks everybody. She's very sweet, I held her for a little while before packing her up for the drive home. I found this site looking for sand boa info a while back and fell in love with bp's looking at all your guys snakes and ending up putting the sand boa on hold and getting her instead. She's in a 40 gal glass tank for now, her set up came with her. Planning on getting her a pvc cage in the not so distant future, I've gotta finish the paludarium I've been working on for fire belly toads first.

Awesome pastel! It's cool that you got her as an adult. Enjoy her!

I most certainly will. I got her from one of my girlfriends friends. She tagged him one day when he wasn't paying attention during feeding time and was nervous to handle her after that and I ended up getting one hell of a deal on her

Just curious, can any one tell me what I probably would have had to pay for this girl if I had gotten her from a breeder at a show?

I would say with her being a Female, 4 years old, and a real nice Pastel. Probably around $150-$200. What did you pay?

$100 for her and her complete set up =)

Only thing I had to buy was a uth, he had her temps regulated purely by heat lamps before.

Then you also need at thermostat to regulate the temps of the UTH.

I think you got a heck of a deal!! A very nice, light pastel female, looks to be breeding size too. Heck I've seen breeder nice pastel females going for $600. I wish I would have found that steal! Well done! :gj:

I love her bright color, she has a real bright face and startling green eyes. I love her pattern as well, what I can see of it. She appears to be a very nice, healthy female. One question, are you sure it is a female? Sometimes people mis-sex them. If it is a female, she was indeed a steal!

    Congratulations on your new friend.

She ate for me already! She struck at it and missed while I was doing the zombie rat dance and wasn't striking again, but was still interested so I left it sitting outside her hide and turned off her red bulb and left her alone. Less than 5 mins later I heard the strike:D So looks like we're off to a good start

I was told female, but have not popped or probed myself. Not so sure that I would feel comfortable trying either at this point in time. I don't have any intent in breeding so I'm not in a rush to try it.

    Meal number 2 down:D

Super aggressive feeding response today, practically jumped out of her hide when I hit the rat with the hair dryer, stuck it almost immediately, I'm so glad she is settling in well
