New pick up, think it was worth it?
So I picked up 2 snakes from 2 different people today on craigslist. I paid 400$ total. Male lesser and female mojave. Hoping for a BEL soon!

    Think the price was right?

Female Mojave - unknown weight at the moment

    Male Lesser - ~1000g

yes, they're both very nice, IMO. I love what the female has going on inside her alien heads, very cool.
be sure you keep them quarantined from each other and any other snakes you may have,
just in case. they should eventually make you some really nice BELs, good luck.

They are both in different tub areas for now. Probably going to leave them like that for two - three weeks to make sure they remain in good shape. I can't wait to get the female weighed up to see how long it will be till I can introduce them and hopefully get some BEL's. Thanks for the love!

How many of these months do you speak of? They wont be in direct contact until she is big enough. So the same room different sides is still too close?

I've been eye'ing that mojave for a while ;) I didn't think she was anywhere near breeding size though, I thought she was closer to hatchling-200g size. She's a beauty, great additions :gj:

At least 3 month for qt if not more, a sick snake can be sick for 6 months before you even notice it then to introduce it to your collection and then every snake is sick/dead and keep them across the house if possible com your other snakes

Thanks for all the the tips on the quarantine process. I only have one other snake at the moment so this is my first time adding more to the collection.

Yup, shes no where near breeding size. "Soon" was me and wishful thinking attempting to speed up time lol. 122g according to the seller, I haven't confirmed the weight due to lack of having a scale at the moment.

If they are two new pickups they can be in the same quarantine room together, just not in the same room as your established collection. I quarantine mine for 6 months if that helps you decide what to do. Some things can take a long time to show themselves, better safe than sorry IMO.

Ahhh I gotcha! I know how that goes ;) Still though, she's a beauty, and if I had the cash on hand I would have scooped her up with a quickness! Great addition :gj:

Great looking mojo. Very unusual alien heads. But she has great contrast, which is exactly what I want to see in a quality mojo.
And can't go wrong with lesser.

I QT for a minimum of 6 months. A few people QT up to a year as some pathogens can lie dormant within a snake up to 9 months before becoming active. QT is really important. Especially if you have a large established collection. Wimping out on QT procedures becomes a bigger risk.
