Nice! Hope they prove out, and even if they don't, you still get to hatch some sexy pieds!

Marc has some wicked stuff! Congrats and GL with the project.
That Pied is awsome! Would love to see the offspring regardless. Very "Leopard" like...

I've heard from a couple people he looks leopardish? Don't know to much about the leopard gene myself.

But really hopin to hit a 0.1 axanthic or 0.1 axanthic pied :D
i have a question on producing a lightning pied
ok so i just saw a lightning pied and im stunned. i see there very expensive and wanted to know if i have a male pastel pied are my best chances to producing a lightning pied is by buying a axanthic female? and breeding them? if someone can enlighten me on this i would gladly appreciate it. ive tried doing as much reading as i could and havent found my answers i was hoping someone here could. thanks!

Basically in your case the easiest way would be to have a visual Axanthic female. All offspring from that pairing would be 100% Double het Pied/Ax. You would then want to holdback 1 or 2 males and hopefully 2,3 or even 4+ females if your lucky enough, raise them up and pair them together and hope for the best.
Double Recessive projects can be a long process but the results are stunning!

Zero chance.... Do some more research on how "Recessive" genes work. It seems alot more confusing than it is, trust me

Good luck on hitting the odds/proving out!
Re: Future paring - lightning pieds!!!
I'm hoping I have a couple horse shoes, either way this is my first clutch so as long as everything's healthy I'll be happy...axanthic anything would be awesome just to prove them out though!

Thanks! That would be awesome to at least just see a visual Axanthic in the clutch if not a female pied would make an excellent future addition.
