Best And Worst Jobs
What was the best job you have had? And what was the worst?
-
BEST job I've ever had is my current on as Chief Editor of The Reptile Report. :D
Worst job was as a young adult going to school....clerking at a 7-11 store in one of the highest crime-ridden neighborhoods of South Dallas. Dirty old store with a lot of scary people around. The upside was that there were some very cool people in that neighborhood, too...and a few great guys that went out of their way to make sure the female clerks were not being hassled or intimidated when they were around.

Best - current job, adoption counselor for a no-kill humane society
Worst - working as housekeeping in a hotel when I was 16 or a server at Denny's...both of them were just not my cup of tea.

Re: Best And Worst Jobs
Best: convenience store on campus, specifically our secondary unit down the road where I saw 10 in an eight hour shift. South homework got done.
Worst: walmart. I unloaded trucks, wanna talk about being under appreciated.

Best And Worst Jobs
I've only had 1 job. Been working in a kitchen at a nursing home/rehab center for almost 3 years now. Its ok i guess.
-
Best was Shop Foreman at Michael G's Garage...................... sad that is was such a bitter parting. :(
Worst, too many to list LOL.
Judy!!!!! Hook one of us up with a cool job :D
-
Worst- Customer Service Representative for a T-Mobile call center. Cubicles and ignorant people were not a great combination for me.
Best- Property Inspector for the City of Indianapolis. Most of the work is in the field and I have a much better understanding of local government and the rolls that each department plays.
I suppose being an Army Journalist could have been the best and worst job I ever had, depending on the day and assignment.

I wonder which evil agency that is. or is it... CLASSIFIED?!?
Worst.. Walmart - overnight dairy stocker, and than managment training for overnight manager, it SUCKED.....
best. I'm currently a manager at a resturant and working my way up hoping to get a store of my own.
I may transfer later.. Im a chef with Culinary School training, just waiting for the perfect job to open in a nice steak house. :)
I also beat myself up every day for turning downing a butcher position that paid $16.50 a hour 45 hours a week... :( add that to worst jobs...lol

Worst job- barista. My boss was horrible.
Best job (my summer job last year and this upcoming summer): fisheries research technician for Fisheries and Oceans Canada.. I do species-at-risk fish sampling. 5 days a week. 14 hours a day of hauling nets, trudging through marshes and identifying/photographing/measuring/fin clipping fish. Nothing is more exhilerating than catching a species that you've been trying to find for 2 weeks and countless sampling sites and net hauls for. Not to mention all of the other cool flora and fauna I get to see! I live out of a suitcase and bbq every night. It is AMAZING. This year I'm getting a raise and will be co-leading a crew :D

Best And Worst Jobs
best (so far): delivery driver for wingzone. i wouldnt really consider it a "great" job but i definitely had more fun there than any other job i've had. all the managers there were a little too cool. i got paid to drive around and listen to music all day and talk to people. money actually wasnt too bad. only bad thing was all the wear and tear it put on my car. left there and got a new job when i bought the truck i have now. wasn't about to be puttin all that wear n tear on a new car plus trucks arent exactly easy on gas. if i had an old beat up car to use for work, i wouldnt mind goin back to a delivery job while im still in school.
worst: i took a summer landscaping job working for this guy that had his own business. it was just me and him. he was pretty cool, but he always had the riding lawnmower and i had the weed eater. laying sod was hell. i enjoy working outside, but we would work 6-6 in the dead of summer, sometimes 6 days a week, and i was WAY under paid. being young and naive, i didn't know how crappy he was paying me, but i later found out i was getting paid like $4-5 an hour less than most people around here doing the same job. lol oh well. you live and you learn.

Re: Best And Worst Jobs
Best: current job as a graphic designer for a small promotional products and printing company. I'm in an office with only 1 other person who's only there about 1/2 the time. I get along with my coworker great. When times are slow, I can browse bp.net and pinterest to my heart's content and no one is looking over my shoulder. I get to wear jeans and flip flops to work everyday if weather permits.
Worst: cashier for a car dealership with no ac and a boss that was constantly watching to see if I was keeping busy when there wasn't really enough work to stay busy.

I'm with Judy, my best job(s) is right now, with The Reptile Report and ShipYourReptiles.
Worst job, I don't know, I have worked at the used cd store, delivered pizza (including Domino's) and also worked at Subway. Those weren't great jobs, and they didn't pay well, but they weren't horrible. I certainly went through a few -hot meatball wrapped in a triangle slice of cheese and a dash of mayo and mustard- snacks at Subway. I wasn't the only one.
I don't think meatball sub sales quite stacked up to meatballs ordered...

That sounds awfully cool.

Best job is the one I've got now. I'm a researcher for an Executive Recruiter. I set my own hours and work from home. It's pretty sweet.
Worst, without a doubt, was working at Wal-Mart during the holidays when I was 15. I don't think I even need to explain why that was terrible. LoL.

best: current job as a veterinary assistant
worst: barista/coffee shop employee
