New boa addition. Advice/help please
I'll try to make this somewhat short. Repticon in Denver we adopted this girl from a rescue/herp society. She was $20. I've owned boas before & really wanted another. She is skinny they only had her for a few weeks & they are pretty crowded with animals themselves. I happily took her. They didnt know what her temperament was but I carried her around the expo all day. Mostly since I didn't have a warm place for her. Kids pet her, she was calm, & anyone could touch her head. She is a sweetheart!! Was told she was an argentine. Can anyone tell? She has some bumps and bites but should be up to health in a few months! Sorry these are pics from during the expo...

Yes she is very skinny. Her personality is amazing though giving her condition. She stayed at my friends last night and tonight in a quarantine tub since I stayed in the city all weekend. He's going to try to give her a rat tonight. I love her darks colors either way :) she will probably just be the only boa I own for a long time.

I have no input on her lineage as I'm still unfamiliar with a lot of sub-species of boas but congrats on the pick up and hope she thrives for you and gains her full glory quickly!

Thanks everyone for your replys. I have a pic I will post in a few minutes to show how skinny she is. I'm going to try and give her a rat tonight. I gave her a nice soak last night. I will keep this thread updated with pics :)

X2 She is definitely a B.C.Longicauda from Peru it's possible that she might even be Anerytheristic as it is very common among B.C.L but would need better lighting to tell.
I have always wanted a Longtailed Boa, however shd will probably not exhibit the "Long tail" as it is generally only seen in males of the species.
Congratulations on bringing home such a lovely Snake.
Longicauda are generally regarded as a very calm and easygoing type of Boa. I have a good friend who uses a male Longicauda to do outreach shows with kids.

Thank you! I'm not 100% she's a girl yet though. We haven't sexed her yet since she's just been relaxing. She loved all the lil kids at the expo though! & the only thing she has gotten huffy about is my friends dog lol. & it's like lil spurts of hissing, kinda cute. I will do more research on longicuada then!
Thanks again.
