If it has been done, I imagine NERD would be the first. I don't think it has though.

Hopefully I'll see some this year and be able to show you some pics! I truly think the Enchi will bring the color back into Pied, so I picked up a Stingerbee het Pied male last year and he's going to about 6 hets and a Pied this year.

Hopefully I will hit the jackpot as well! I just ultrasounded my spider het pied female, 38mm. She has been bred exclusively to my enchi het pied male. Its a far shot, but fingers and toes are very much crossed.

Good luck to you as well Luke! Hopefully you or I can post a pic up this season.

Not sure if it has been done, but I wouldn't count too much on Enchi bringing any color anywhere, as anything Spider + Pied creates an all white snake with a very very small amount of pigment on it's heat.

As far as I know, anyways.

I have thought many a times about cool Spider + Pied combos, but then I remember that Spieds are one of the most boring snakes out there, in my own opinion :P

Unless you're thinking somehow Enchi will bring the pattern back? Highly doubt it, though.

Huh didn't know that about spider and pie together. Learning so much from you guys. I think he looks adorable with only his colored head.

    They are pretty cute!

And a Stingerbee pied would still be a very sweet snake and a genetic powerhouse! Just not my favorite "look" if you know what I mean. I really adore the wishy washy patterns that Pieds get and eliminating that doesn't really do it for me.

that would be an interesting project for sure! I find theres a lot of people who don't like the spieds because the don't have pattern IMO that's pretty unique and they look awesome!:)

I think the Enchi will bring the pattern back to the Spider Pied. All the Enchi Pied combos so far have been nearly ALL color and the smallest amount of white. Enchi and Spider both tend to overpower most other morphs, but I think in this situation the Enchi will overpower it the most in this situation. The combos that have been mixed with Spied haven't necessarily manipulated the amount of white when no Spider is present like the Enchi does. I've talked to a lot of people about it, and it seems its really split 50:50 on what people think it will turn out to be. With the opinions being split...it adds more motivation to the project for me.

cdavidson, as much as I want to be the first to make it, I hope you hit on it as well! My girls being bred to the Stinger het are still in the 8-15mm range, so you're ahead of me!

Interesting concept, but it will be very disappointing if it looks like a spied and nearly impossible to tell if it is even carrying the enchi gene without raising it up and proving it out.

If it brings color back, it could be gold though.

Kevin McCurley had stated that he is very excited about bringing Enchi and Spider together in a Piebald animal.

Generally speaking where Spider wipes out the pattern of a Piebald, Enchi has the opposite effect. So it has been hypothesized that a combo of Spider Enchi Piebald would bribg some balance to the Pattern/White.

Not sure if this has been discussed already but I just watched an interview with Kevin where he addressed this very question. Of course the interview was from 2010.

My guess is that it will bring back more color but will reduce any pattern in the color. You know like a white and brown snake with very little pattern. Does that make sense?

It makes sense and its in all likelihood possible. That's why I just had to try it. Even if it brings back the color, and not much or any pattern at all, I'm ok with it. Obviously I'd rather see some Spider pattern mixed in with the color. I have seen Spider Pieds with some color to them in the past, so it makes me more of a believer that the Enchi will bring color back to it.

I hope you guys are right, and post the results!

Hot damn that would be a sweet snake if you guys could bring the color and/or the pattern back!
