I just had to share that after a whole lot of driving and tromping through houses and indigestion and sweating, I've finally just made it through the offer - counteroffer - acceptance process and should be closing on a house in two weeks! I am so excited! Better yet, we'll be in the 8th best high school district in the state AND will have a room in the basement suitable for herps!

WOO HOO!!! Yay for Marla....good for you, I know it's exhausting and stressful, but the pay off is worth it. I wish we had basements in Florida, I miss them....post some pics when you can. :D:

Thanks y'all! I'm so psyched, can you tell? ;) Caren, the basement was one of the three B's that pushed this house past the next best one, the others being Brookwood High School and the Backyard being big enough for Buddha and a little garden patch for me to grow 'maters in. Of course, there being a place for a herp room doesn't hurt either. :)

Thanks! I just got back from taking my carpenter friend to see it, and she gave it the stamp of approval. :) Unfortunately, she and the kids took so long to eat that it was too dark to take photos by the time we got there, so I'll have to do that another day. Now if I can just make it through inspection and closing ... ;)
