Re: butters
I personally like butters/lessers with a bit of contrast and a very reduced pattern. I like the color on #1 and I prefer the patter on #2. However, if you wait a few weeks, you can basically have first pick of the 2013 butters and you can find one with good contrast and an exceptional reduced pattern with no alien heads.

Re: butters
Honestly, I don't care for any of those.

It's honestly what YOU like. Not what everyone else likes. Everyone has their own preferences. Some people like spots, some don't. Some people like reduced, some don't. Some people like dark contrasting colors, some don't. You really have to decide what it is that you like in each morph.

The Pastel Butter is still to busy of a pattern for me. I like the reduced patterns better. Don't rush to settle. The breeding season is upon us and there will be lots to choose from. Look at lots of pictures of Butters or Lessers to see what YOU like. Then start looking at what is available. It took me almost a year to find mine. Once I saw him I had to have him. I am thankful I waited.

I'm not a fan of any of those butters but that pastel butter is nice (YES get a 2-gene male!! :gj:)
Agreed you have you get what you like. Everyone is difference, some people like very reduced, some people like crazy patterns, some people like light, some people like dark. And of course $$ plays a part too. If you find a great deal on a nice snake then by all means consider it....but highly consider the reputation of the person you are purchasing from as well. Let us know if you get him!

Re: butters
I agree with everyone else. Pick what YOU like.
I would pass on them all but I'm also a fan of really reduced butters/lessers. I second the notion of researching. Look on here, fauna, kingsnake, and on world of ball pythons. See what trains you like in a butter/pastel butter and then wait a bit until after clutches start hatching (late summer for the most options) and then pick one that has the qualities you like.

ive been researching so much lol that pastel butter was found on kingsnake, and had a pretty good deal because it was under $300, i couldnt find anything else really on kingsnake, ill check out fauna and this site too. personally i like butters with light colors, pattern really dont matter to me, i like both the busy patterns and the reduced... as long as the snake has really nice contrast im not too picky on the patterns. i was basically just seeing what other people liked too so i can look at some more options :)

Buying snakes because they are a good deal, not a good idea.
If you have desires to breed, buy the snake that makes you go WOW, don't settle on a snake because the buyer is selling it cheap, " in general" you get what you pay for.

This is my pastel lesser, not the best in the world, but clean, bright and will eventually make some smokin babies...
